So far right approach to tackle Monty. Indian bats using their feet against him.

Actually the replays show that Gambhir said "No" early on.

Welll that was one reason why it was so bad. This looks like a batting paradise ATM; at least let the bowlers get you out!tricycle wrote:The one time they look comfortable. Apart from that first test.doctorspin wrote:That was such bad cricket from India it has me ROFL.tricycle wrote:Dumb f*ckwads
Have to say, kudos to Fatwag for trying to put the fielding side under pressure and break the hearts of the bowlers by turning 2s to 3s. It is going to be hard toil for the bowlers for at least the first 2 days

Looks like Gambhir is safe for this series at least. Real shame.

Thank goodness, at least Dar isn't there for this test. He has become totally blind this year.

Am I right in seeing that this pitch is offering absolutely nothing to the pacemen and 99% nothing to spin? One from Monty turned a bit. But no bounce, no carry, no pace (except across the outfield); no great interest. Maybe on day 4-5 when the pitch will be 13 days old?

Maybe Dhoni has a point about the pitches.

Was just going to say that I was developing a good deal of respect for Toni after what he said the other day about testing and interesting cricket pitches.tricycle wrote:Maybe Dhoni has a point about the pitches.

He has actually. Almost everyone misunderstood him. Even Cook supported him yesterday on his stand on pitches. Square turners and green/bouncy tracks are anyday better from flat decks. At least we would see FTBs separated from geuinely good batsmen.

Anyway the curator for Eden (that oldie) looks to be an absolute limelight hogger to me. The way he enacted that drama of going on medical leave and then threatening to resign was in real bad taste.
