There it is. AN Cook is the leading ton scorer for England.
Re: India v England, 3rd Test, Kolkata, 5-9 December, 2012
And I see both openers average over 50.

Sweet ton by Chef, and I have to say Compton was copycatting Chef far too much with the sweep and isn't anywhere near as adept at it, so his dismissal wasn't a shock. Still, he did his bit.

Isn't Cook the best English batsman ever now? Who selected him in the ATG XI Draft?

ahahahaha. and people thought the bombay test was embarrassing
england to win this and the next test by an innings and a gazillion each. india to ban cricket for 10 years, or till they find 'bowlers'

Ashwin has been well and truly exposed in this series. Its alright to set records against the bottom ranking test nations like WI and NZ, but against a strong batting lineup like Eng, he has proved to be absolutely shit.

So Indian trundlers are also doing the job of bringing Trott back to form very efficiently.

(Without wanting to put a hex on England's Mr Steady...)
The blessing in disguise of Compton being given is that Trott has a chance to establish an innings sooner rather than later.
His team need him to come good again, sooner rather than later: any decent side can't afford to depend on a narrow base for runs.

Blessing in disguise = something bad happened, but there was an upside.
I was for Compton. Not jumping on or off a bandwagon now.
