Or possibly not. Could be the evasive action thing.
not applicable if he didnt ground his bat before avoiding the throw. school-boy stuff

Aye, I said it real time though... I hadn't had the benefit of the replay. His bat was probably 5 inches off the ground when he lifted it up again
Re: India v England, 3rd Test, Kolkata, 5-9 December, 2012
as close as he could be
reminds me of the tendulkar dismissal on this ground 13 years ago. though that was wrongly given out by the third umpire

Why didn't he just hit it to the boundary?
At least the Indians have found a way of getting him out. Bowl from 35 yards ...

That is hands down the gayest way to get out in cricket - run out shying away from a ball as it's thrown in. Sad way to end a top notch innings.

Would not have been out even if the ball had hit the bat, surely?

That's Cook's first run out in tests, and in FC cricket as far as I can see.

58 ahead at tea. I think we can rule out a lead of 200 by close of play.

>>>
32.2
Sharma to Bell, no run, bashed into this tired surface and this leaps well over Bell's head (though he's only a little lad)

Dello must be bored

KP doesn't make a double. Wheels falling off. 100 lead is not enough.

Still going to be a ten wicket wallumping though.
In 2001 we had Laxman and Dravid, now we have Yuvraj and Dhoni.
