Symonds and Ponting officially accuse him of making racially offensive comments.

Don't want to prejudge the issue, racial provocation and abuse is unacceptable and Harbi is a bit of a "streetfighter"...but can't help feeling that it's all become a bit soured....coincidentally with India sticking it to the Aussies.

I find it extremely hard to believe that Harbhajan would've called Symonds a 'monkey', and before anyone comes up with a smartarse comment, no, not because I believe Indians can't be racist, but that it would be such an extremely juvenile and stupid thing to say to someone. FFS, we used to do that when we were 5-6-year-olds. Now, I know Boof tgm used the word, but it was atleast prefixed with a choice adjective.

As someone suggested on another thread, he could've said **** maa-ki **** (the asterisks are wild cards), something he uses quite often and has something to do with the receiver's mother.

Obviously Bhaji made some remark about Symonds needing 5 goes to make a score and Symonds decided to bowl him into a reverse-reprimand position by accussing sardar ji of being racist. Bhaji probably just called him a ¢unt or something harmless like that. Symonds should be careful before making accusations.

Then again, maybe, just maybe, Harbi did actually say something, thinking that he'd get under Symonds's skin by doing so, and that given what happened in India, the expectation is that players wouldnt be stupid enough to start it all up again.

I doubt we'll ever know what really happened out in the middle, but the hidden mouth stuff from Benson certainly didn;t look good for Harbi IMO.

Is there more aggro in cricket now between India and Australia than between India and Pakistan? Seems so.
