Quality effort in the end by Strine. As mentioned, the BCCIXI were 55/5 at one point. To lose by 243 runs is quite some effort

If the Aussies can be bowled out for 65 against the Indian pacers...

Look on the bright side.
It is only the 20th anniversary of Warne's wonder ball.

Be fair. McGrath did a great job in keeping the quickies fit and ready to fire.

Re: ICC Champions Trophy 2013
Wow, last I looked India were slowly recovering from 5-60-odd to around 140. Then they seemingly went apeshit!!
Aus 65??? How appallingly woeful. I note that dickhead bigmouth David "I'm above being slagged in the papers" Warner got another duck.
It's gonna be a very long winter.

I am booked in for day 1 of the Ashes. That may be enough. Unless it rains.

Australia always recover for the big ones.
And look at England.
(But not for too long.)

This is JAMODI cricket, nothing to judge the potential outcome of the Ashes by for either team.

Has no baring on anything. They're both a school of ginchfishes, anyway.
This Ashes is like a clown lottery, whoever is less sensible will probably pull out the winning Whack-A-Rat.

It looked quite roady too.
Does this tournament have Plate and Trophy play-offs like Rugby 7s to give the fat kids of the world a chance to win something? Maybe we can play England there

We'll be busy doing our hair - Vidal Sassoon is bringing out a new product on the 11th of this month.
Re: ICC Champions Trophy 2013
Midge wouldn't turn that down either. It would give him and Jade a chance to compare arms too. Wouldn't surprise to see them partake in a spot of mutual mastubation to see if looking the same makes it feel the same.

Re: ICC Champions Trophy 2013
Jade hasn't earned the right to use any new hair products - he can't even put on his old hair products properly.
It's also back to little silver studs in his ears.
AND he has to wear long sleeves.

Jade is an old designation of a tired old nag of a horse.

Aye. At the very least you'd think that they would have used the opportunity for some batting practice.
I think my Ashes watching is going to be limited to seeing if we can hold off a whitewash.

That's a new one on me. On tinternet, it only says.
1. A clapped-out or useless horse; a nag, a hack.
2. A woman considered to be ill-tempered, indiscreet or unduly promiscuous
I've omitted the precious green stone one.

He's a little of 1, a little of 2.
But he's also a little of 3) a brainless idiot who is wasting natural ability with his puffed-up Londontowie sensibilities.

Re: ICC Champions Trophy 2013
He looks like an East London fashion student. Bowls like one as well. He also squirmed all over the place during the inquest into Tom Maynard's death, and was unconvincing his his assertion that he had no idea Maynard took drugs. Questionable character, really.

Re: ICC Champions Trophy 2013
Which brings us to Jade Dernbach. Now, clearly England’s recent one-day mediocrity cannot be laid in the tattooed arms of one man. But Dernbach delivers a particularly irksome mediocrity, the sort that inspires in otherwise reasonable men and women a quite incandescent rage, that piques the parts other wayward death bowlers simply cannot pique.
What was most distressing about his spell of nought for 87 yesterday was that it was barely distressing at all. As has been widely pointed out, Dernbach’s 50-over economy rate of 6.35 is among the most expensive in history. In his 24 one-day internationals for England, only five times has he left the field without a wide to his name. At his best, he is a sort of cricketing novelty act, a bizarre sideshow, the sort you might expect to find at a Victorian fairground, in between the tightrope-walker and the singing Siamese twins
Yowzer.
