Meanwhile, I've just realised that my inadvertent Paul Lawrie bet was at 670 to 1!
C'mon Paul. Shoot a 59 today.

Re: Open Championship
Needs a revamp, this course. Two straight years where the open has been too easy.

Except when they stopped playing because it was too hard!
Have to agree though, the greens don't seem quick enough.

Re: Open Championship
Some of the greens seem to have grooves running all the way to the hole, from anywhere on the green!! Only Dustin J seems to be able to get the putts jumping out of the grooves.
Aye, weak as piss. Soft qunts.

I'd like very much to see Day win - to balance out all his past woes.
He played some fine golf yesterday .... as Willet didn't ....
The Oirish amateur Dunne and that wizard Speith are trundling along quite well though ...
Speith to win it for me ...
I liked him in interview yesterday - showed a human side to him that has been masked before.
Bloody Garcia ... my pony on him at 33's looks a lost cause (as was my 20 quid on the Draw at Lord's yesterday!)

Suspect that Spieth putt was the winner. Without that earlier four-putt he'd be sipping the bubbly already.

So, play-off guaranteed I think, barring a miraculous eagle from someone at the 18th.

Re: Open Championship
Grand Slam bid ends, by a whisker... still, there's plenty more chances for him. About 20 of them, I'd say...
Day falls short too, only Oosty can now gatecrash the play-off.

Re: Open Championship
So, it was a Johnson, but not the one we thought a couple of days ago...
A win for one of the game's solid performers, who always seems to have his seat booked come Ryder Cup time. Two majors is an impressive achievement for any player, but having them at Augusta and St Andrews must be even more special.

5 days of golf so that bible bashing bore can win.
Get back on the plane and take your Oscar-style Praise The Lord horseshit speech with you.
P.S. Thought the stiff in the suit was a natural after dinner speaker. Somebody book him up - he's so bad it's just got to be worth it.
