Zimbabwe upset Australia, and it looks like Sri Lanka will beat India. England hammer Scotland! All is well....

Seems like there's no TV coverage here in Aus, or is it only the second stage that is televised? ESPN showed some matches in previous tournaments. Always worth a look, these under 19s World Cups. Gives us a chance to discover some exciting young English talent, then watch with despair over the coming years as they regress beyond all repair.

The matches today were just warm-up games. The real thing starts on 14 February.

Entertaining and sloggy 74 for Sarfaraz Khan. India in a pretty decent position now

Surely not, England doing everything wrong in the last half hour or so. Now Sibley drops an eminently catchable chance.

So the kids are mimicking the main team then- Have the opposition on the ropes, then take the foot off the gas by pushing the field back and bowling the part-timers.

That throw was closer to Colombo than the stumps.
The telecasts for this tournament are really an embarrassment. Won't be seeing Australia till the knockouts.

Open net, but three India matches, two England matches and South Africa West Indies are all that are telecast. The rest of the teams are just incidentals in telecast.
