Re: Under 19 World Cup 2014
So India have a left-arm chinaman bowler in their Under 19 team. Have they ever had one play test cricket? I can't think of any.

They have had a couple of right-arm chinamen bowlers though.

Many of the English batsmen have learnt the graceful art of the leave in OD cricket. I'm welling up. At least Duckett may drag them near.
Re: Under 19 World Cup 2014
I think I just heard Harsha Bhogle say something complimentary about an England player. That'll be Early Onset Dementia then.

148/6. I was going to post earlier that this had all the hallmarks of a feeble, panicked England collapse in the face of mild pressure chasing an easily gettable total.
F*cking Pietersen.
F*cking Pietersen.

He's obviously infected the entire system, from top to bottom, crushing their self belief and ability to not be total spackers.
When will English cricket be finally rid of his insidious influence?

Kuldeep Yadav ended up with 10/0/46/3
When I was watching earlier the batsmen couldn't pick his wrong-un.

But in mitigation, they were English batsmen, who can't pick right-uns or straight-on-uns either.

Ben Duckett 61 off 64. That rare beast - a young English bat who has a clue about playing spin.

The few moments of this I've seen made England look very much like another shittifying Ashley Giles-cloned JAMODI-by-numbers team... but we're in the semi-finals?

Windies batting first against Australia.
Good yorker from Billy Stanlake cleans up the opening batsman.

2 wickets off consecutive balls by Guy Walker leaves the Windies struggling at 3/7.

Cricinfo describing Ben Ashkenazi as left-arm medium, but watching the TV coverage I could swear he is bowling with his right arm & probably deserves to be called fast medium as well.

High five for the 90s football reference.
Could've been a good right back, actually. He was Lee Dixon, without all that Lee Dixon-ness dragging him down.
Re: Under 19 World Cup 2014
