Re: Aus Federal Politics thread (XII)
Hardly stupid. These people are dangerous whackjobs. Abbott's just a whackjob.
The reason I'd be shot at an NP or ALp meeting horrie is My form of limited farm socialisation is anethema to both.

The counsel for the unions are going in hard against Dyson Heydon in the hearing as to whether he should stand down as Commissioner.

If the standard the pinkos want to apply to Haydon was applied to Gillard , Shorten and the rest of the unions then they would be in huge trouble

No less appalling than J Bish calling the pinko candidate a "hipster lawyer".

Hastie also said that as a soldier during the Gillard era he "never felt that the government had his back".
Sounds like the Libs want it both ways - happy to use Hastie's service record to fire salvos at his political opposition but not happy when that record is questioned.

It was'nt so much questioned as fictionalized. The Age had him cutting the hands off dead Taliban when he was'nt even there.

There is no depth that campaign managers (pollies in waiting) will not plumb.
Is it a coincidence that so many of them are lawyers?

You've got to wonder at the production team for letting crap like that through. Maybe there's too many of them.

Interesting article in Crikey today on how they filter the tweets. Most of it is software driven because they want to do it in real time. They do filter for various things including offensive words in the Tweets themselves but not in the user names (due to the #Susanalbumparty issue). They get 35,000 tweets a show so can't possibly look at each one.
It really is just one of those things.

Regardless of this episode, they should get rid of the tweets. They are, and always have been, f*cking annoying, and distracting, and mostly written by clueless peasants.

Yeah it's not like there's a lot of Dickens/(insert author) in these things. Though even with 35000 per show nowhere near that many go up, so there must be some form of human filtering.
Either way, what Henry said.
