Many Aussies could not understand why he wasn't in their squad for the Cup. He seems to enjoy our conditions and at least has a little je ne sais quoi about him.

Stokes has a lot of talent, although it's hard to see how he'd have got a chance if Moeen hadn't been injured. Will be interesting to see how they look at the team going into the 2nd Test if/when Moeen is available.

Presumably Moeen in for Tredwell.
I like the look of our 6,7,8 - if it turns out to be Mo, Stokes, Jos. Got a certain mix of dash, flair and power (although Mo still needs to prove he can find a way of playing proper pace). Just a pity that against good oppos they'll often be coming in at not a lot for 4 or 5 and will be crucified by the press if they play with any abandon and get out or play defensively and get out.

One month here and he's done. Where's AD when we need him.

Hahaha.
That was convincing.
What a bunny he has become.
I think I saw a thread titled 'Worst player with over 50 runs'.
He's my nomination.

Pathetic! I know it's a cliche to say he looked like he was trying to get out, but in this case it actually seems plausible.

Yeah, Jimmy can stick it out better than he... Awful. Still, at least he's a gun bowler eh...
Re: West Indies v England, 1st Test, Antigua, 13-17 April 2015
Played Jimmy. 20 off 22. If the England management had any guts, they'd put him ahead of Broad who's completely shot to ribbons. At least he'd have the opportunity to bat longer.
399ao. Would've taken that at 34/3. Wouldn't have taken that at 341/5.
Pitch is a little quicker and Jimmy had a mince on the way off - interesting half session coming up

He's gone so Chris Martin he'll be writing the new Coldplay album while playing up front for Derby.

Welll, we look as penetrative as a floppy penis.

Luckily you're flopping into a wizard's sleeve with a sucking force which exceeds Jupiter's gravitational pull.

Hmm, thought Engulund would get high 400s or more. Still, 399 is plenty v this anemic Ganja batting line up. Shiv might crab to a 50 while the rest collapse around him.

Old Stokey is a churlish type - it's your fault it was a no ball, Ben, no need to take it out on the ball / keeper...
Re: West Indies v England, 1st Test, Antigua, 13-17 April 2015
Sky need to sort out their coverage. This regular beeping noise is even more annoying than the poor cricket being played.

You'd think the first thing any coach would drill into a bowler is NO FARKING NO-BALLS, QUNT!!!! Infuriating for the team and the supporters.
Stunning catch by Jordon to remove Braithwaite. Combo of lazy shots and decent balls to have England on top. Shiv might bat all day, although it's highly unlikely anyone can stay long enough at the other end. Blackwood is hanging in but looks typically Ganja loose.

Q: What's the difference between a floppy penis and England's bowling attack?
A: One of them may be remedied fairly quickly.

Exciting cricketers who can take England forward are emerging- Root, Stokes, Jordan....there's Plunkett waiting on the sidelines, a more attacking opener in Lyth, a bag of tricks leg spinner in Rashid....These guys are exciting, aggressive, and hungry to succeed.
It's just unbelievable that England were so conservative with their selections in this match. Who has the final say? That clueless qunt Whittaker? I thought he was getting sacked this week?
