First round of the draft is on now. The Giants looked to have choked with their 6th overall pick, drafting a slow white QB.

Yeah, seems a strange one given they bypassed last year’s more highly rated QB class. Barkley may have been a generational talent but RBs given their typically short careers have to be considered “icing on the cake” players, too many elite runners largely waste their careers on crap teams.

Arizona take ~~Tyrion Lannister~~ Kyler Murray first up as expected... but haven’t shifted last year’s first rounder Josh Rosen to make way. With few, if any, teams now QB-desperate they might have to hang onto him until the first starter goes down injured, which could make for an awkward pre-season.

Niners looking good with potential best player in draft Nick Bosa in the fold, perhaps need to find a WR and defensive back or two but if Jimmy G and McKinnon get fully fit there’s a real team developing, a few years on from the Harbaugh meltdown.

Surely the Niners still have more pressing needs, and special teamers can usually be picked up as UFAs (and often prove better than those actually drafted).

Brings back memories of the Jaguars taking a punter in the third round a number of years ago when Russell Wilson was still on the board, think he was a bust as well Laughing

Ravens choking big time at the moment against the Titans. 49ers looked very good against the Vikings.

Super Bowl tonight... Lombardi’s coming home to San Francisco (well, Santa Clara...) after a quarter of a century! Hopefully, anyway... if not, I won’t begrudge Andy Reid a ring, or Mahomes perhaps the first of many.

With Mahomes, the Niners’ defense, and the Clash of the Tightends between Kittle and Kelce, it surely won’t be as boring as last year’s, anyway...

SF by far the better team so far in the 3rd Q. Now have a 10 point lead.

Shaping up for a cracking 4Q. If Mahomes gets them home from here he can probably write his own contact extension terms and just get the GM to sign it.
