Oui, the Hawks can't even look forward to an early draft pick.

Was disappointed today. Our depleted team played well despite the regular turnovers, but we just didn't seem to get the rub of the green with the scrumps.

Commentators made the point that the Pondies had plenty of chances and were nearly five goals up before half time. The dees were also missing key players. Another poor coaching performance.

By the way I like the extra ump. My team had a significant edge in the free count. Most unusual.

Actually the observations yesterday were that the fourth umpire has added to the inconsistency.

The Dees had key players out yesterday and we missed key men. Think coming back from Perth playing a team which had a bye was tough at the end; we ran out of legs.

Usually don't bother about umps but thought we were screwed yesterday, as did some neutral journos.

Jeremy Howe is a delight to watch though.

His name is Jerry Miaow. He is the younger brother of Jay Miaow who played test cricket for New Zealand.

Seems that whenever a team that's had the week off plays a team that hasn't, whichever team loses trots it out as an excuse.

Also, just seen the Open Mike featuring the least number of words from Mike (28 but I may have missed a couple). It always took a good defender to shut Peter 'Whispers' Bosustow down....and it would still take a gun to shut him up.

Surprising - wasn't he a high flyer?

He should be suffering from oxygen deprivation. Smile

You're not Robinson Crusoe there. Anyone leading a tipping comp would know nothing about football.

What odds are being offered now for Richmond finishing 9th? Surely not ...

Was talking briefly to a Collingwood-supporting idiot (tautology, I know) last night ... he was loudly proclaiming that Collingwood would definitely make the 8 and that Sydney definitely could not ... took him on on both counts.

Just catching up with the replay of tonight's game....what is going on with that black strip down the sides of the Tequila Sunrise jumpers? They look like they gaffa-taped the front and back together

(serious request for info although creative responses also appreciated)
