Classic progeny of cbnlg.
Aaron James Nye
I remember when he made a century on debut for Queensland. I thought he might become a very good batsman for us in the Sheffield Shield but it didn't happen. Nye only played 8 FC matches. Dunno why! He made heaps of runs in grade cricket. Maybe it was because he disappointed in limited overs games.
I'm not sure why he got a mention in this thread. Nye retired a few years ago.

you could argue we're not producing quality players full stop. average at Tests, awful at ODIs, and the less said about our T20 aspirations the better.

1/220 with just over 10 overs left
Poms to knock over whatever we score in 42 overs

Interesting move to get Lyon in.
310 - big runs in last 10, despite clatter of wuckets.

Couldn’t watch today but first instinct when I saw the Aussie score was “we will get that with overs to spare”.
Then gently reminded myself that getting 480 odd isn’t the norm and we would do well to chase a 300+ score.
Should have gone with first instinct. Almost seems impossible not to get the whitewash now but we did also lose to Scotland, so anything is possible.

So the cbnlg era begins a probable whitewash.
Less than good times.

Only Chuck Norris could win with the selection hand being dealt

Useful all-rounder? Get him in at 5 or 6. Might pick up a couple of cheap wickets.

Hella crap .
Reserving judgement on the cbnlg until Aus can get a first choice bowling lineup together.

In a nutshell.
The Aus bowling yesterday was park stuff.
Stanlake may be 7 feet tall, but he sprays it around like a bad cold.
Richardson J. tries too hard with his yorkers (full tosses more like), whlst Neser and Stoinis just haven't got a clue
about "bowling to your set field" ...
Agar, not surprisingly, had the most impact and deserved his 2 wickets.
England's fielding, it has to be said, was top drawer.
The Roy/Overton catch off Marsh was just sublime.
Five - zip certainly on the cards now.

Unusual to be on the wrong side of a whitewash, let alone one delivered by England.

More probable than possible M.
The Bannies are near certainties to win their first ever test series in Oz over this summer. The cbnlg is likely to establish new records on his watch.
The cbnlg will install Mitch Mere Marsh, the Hollowman of Oz cricket, as skipper. The 3M is Mike Brearley without the intelligence.

You'll have Smith back for the Ashes at least and with a point to prove.

Odd looking line-up for today and we're already in trouble. No way it won't be a whitewash.
