Richo was quite magnanimous. He called the result well before anyone else.

Cheers Mr Dog.

PMSL @ Newspoll's ineptness. Also at the beginning of the 7 coverage last night their screen crawler said exit polls showed an 18 seat majority to the Pinks. The only poll that matters is the actual vote.

Finally back from the sticks and got a chance to savour some of the may articles about the LNP's fantastic victory last night.

I just love how bitter and twisted the defeated commies are at the outcomes. Here's a sample:

Television personality Meshel Laurie let off a barrage of tweets, airing her disappointment over the Coalition's return to power. "Australians are dumb, mean-spirited and greedy. Accept it," she posted on Saturday night, as the Liberal Party clinched a surprise victory.

Shortly afterwards, the comedian followed up by saying "the only thing left to look forward to in a AUSTRALIA is Schadenfreude," a German word for getting pleasure from other people's misfortunes.

Writer and broadcaster Yassmin Abdel-Magied declared that ''it's going to be a long three years in Australia" if Scott Morrison is re-elected. "Also - a warning to the progressive US counterparts, that even if things look good, ppl may surprise you (again)," Abdel-Magied Tweeted on Saturday night.

Social commentator and Sunrise regular Jane Caro also shared her dismay at the prospect of a Coalition government. "Australia. If the LNP wins we have decided to be a backward looking country in a backwater. I wish I was a New Zealander,' the novelist Tweeted in the midst of election results being counted.

Outspoken author Clementine Ford didn't hold back with her Tweets either. "Thinking of my son and his little friends and crying over the climate destroyed, bulls**t world Australian voters are determined to leave him," the feminist writer wrote.

Former prominent radio host Mike Carlton even declared "we may have to declare war on Queensland," after dramatic swings in the sunshine state all but secured the election win for the Coalition. "F***. Fifty years ago, Labor lost the 1969 Don's Party election. History repeats itself: first as tragedy, then as farce." He then said "WA has gone to s**t too," after early results suggested WA was following suit with the rest of the country's votes.

PMSL at the ungracious pack of angry stinky Pinkos. They completely overlook the fact that Pinko Govt's have been so shit when given a go in the past 25 years. pmsl pmsl

The Greens actually did really well. Which probably goes to show that the Pinkos list rather than the Tories won it.

Bowen’s star has surely been tarnished for the time being. His stupid/ inept franking credit grab has probably cost them the win.

No doubt on the 1st point. Pinko arrogance cost them big time, and Bowen, with his "that's our policies. If you don't like them, don't vote for us" palaver runs into your 2nd point. Guess what Bowen, you chinless qunt - Aus didn't vote for you!!!

Lay down misere that Albo will be the new OL. Plebiscite is too tarred with the whole abortionate election campaign to possibly get a run as leader.

I hope the franking credit policy is now dead and buried, along with the neg. gearing/cap gains tax changes on investment properties.

How long before 18C gets a mention?

Sadly it looks like the Tories will have a clear majority and with the Senate looking less problematic, there is a good chance that the RWNJs in the Tories think that they won because people voted for them rather than against the ALP.

Certainly no less gracious than your good self. Still that is not the point. The class enemy and RWNJs defeated the class traitors. Big deal. At least the frightening risk of Short Pants has gone. I believe Scumboids is less likely to take us into another war.

Still real wages for average workers will continue to decline, oldies in nursing homes will continue as economic fodder for Tory mates, poor people and and Aboriginal people will continue to cop it. Miners and red necks rule. That's what the turkeys voted for. That is what Scumboids has a mandate for.

I don't really care what you think of my "behaviour", post election, h. But winners are grinners.  Very Happy

My comment was aimed at your and many other lefty trolls who hold the spurious notion that voters are morons for not voting for your heroes.

I prefer to believe they weighed the options and decided that Shortarse was far too big a risk to our great nation and that what he was proposing did not suit their aspirations. I applaud them for that decision.

And if the Pinks had've won I, as I always have, would've congratulated them and their supporters.

But chunter on regardless with all your defeated Pinko brethren. shrug

Interesting snippet on the wireless just now.

Bob Hawke's other biographer Derek Rielly has come out and said while Hawke obviously supported Shortarse, he abhorred his shifting of the Labor party to the left and particularly loathed Shortarse's class warfare tactics.

Seems the Pinks should have been listening to the old Master.

Meanwhile, Plebiscite has pulled out of the OL race leaving just Albo at this stage. perhaps he will learn from the wretched Shortarse's arrogance and mistakes.

Albo is hardly going to take them to the right FFS.

He still thinks that High Speed Rail on the East Coast is a worthwhile thing.

On PML last night, Mark Latham predicted that Albo, an "inner city Lefty", would be an utter failure as OL. I guess time will tell.
