Apparently* Shortarse (king of the Pinko factions) is playing an active role behind the scenes in the OL leadership race.

You think, as the architect of the May 18 Election disaster, he'd butt out.

I guess if he can't be king, he wants to be king-maker.

ScoMo must be grinning.

He now has a majority in the lower house, a less hostile cross bench in the Senate, unequivocal support from all MPs after his election heroics, and no destabilising element in Tony Abbott.

Fingers crossed this leads to a highly productive next 3 years for our PM.

It’s still not out of the question that they could get a majority in the senate with Bernardi and ON.

Bowen pulls out so it looks like being Albo, Chalmers (for deputy) and Wong in the Senate.

Ironically, it now looks like the Nationals are the only major party with a female as leader or deputy.

Is that Albo's heels I hear screeching, as he resists the Party being dragged from the left back to centre???

Toss-up between which tossing out of a tosser was better.

A century from now there will still be snide cracks at the demise of the Lying Little Rodent, only the second sitting PM to be ejected from his own seat.

Abbott's electoral execution may still attract a small footnote (befitting his abject career) in history books. Perhaps it will be along the following lines.

* Tony Abbott, known less than affectionately as the Mad Monk was a long standing member of the House of Representatives. For a brief period he was leader of what was known as the Liberal Party and Prime Minister of what was then called Australia. Following his sacking as leader, he operated as an agent provocoteur for extreme right wing religious nut jobs, a media mogul and extractive industry interests. He eventually lost his very conservative seat to a fellow downhill skier.

I'll give them their moment, seeing most of them despite shitcanning him for a year were in therapy after Abbott got the boot and have already booked in for more sessions after tens of millions of bucks in free advertising couldn't help him.

Yeah Kenny would be after Dean, Devine, horse face, queen of plagiarism, Dean's two sidekicks, but probably before Milat, Bryant and assorted rock spiders
