Apparently* Shortarse (king of the Pinko factions) is playing an active role behind the scenes in the OL leadership race.

You think, as the architect of the May 18 Election disaster, he'd butt out.

He now has a majority in the lower house, a less hostile cross bench in the Senate, unequivocal support from all MPs after his election heroics, and no destabilising element in Tony Abbott.

Fingers crossed this leads to a highly productive next 3 years for our PM.

Ironically, it now looks like the Nationals are the only major party with a female as leader or deputy.

Abbott's electoral execution may still attract a small footnote (befitting his abject career) in history books. Perhaps it will be along the following lines.
