FFS, I keep getting 1 and 2 mixed up. MonkeyGate is probably right - we were in deep doodoo before Bucknor kept his finger down for Roy.

Re: Trivia 2021
THAT Test produced the most voluminous posting month ever on this fair forum. The controversy spawned some 22,000+ posts in the month of January 2008 (the most prolific month ever in the history of FB).
Now we are flat out producing 500 posts a month.

Re: Trivia 2021
It was more to do with Violet's sooking after the match ended.
Bannies felt he was justified while everyone else called it out for what it was - very sour grapes.
Many of our South Asian friends flounced after that Test.

Even Violet's whinging might not have been remembered past the end of the next week if it hadn't been for the 'Airport 2008' dick-swinging show going on at the same time

Re: Trivia 2021
During the aftermath of THAT 2008 Test I lost all respect for Harsha Bhogle for his simpering kowtowing to the BCCI.
And all of Australia grew a "hatred" of the late Peter Roebuck, who publicly sided with the weak-as-piss Bannie side. So much so that he had to shut down his email account, such was the torrent of "WTF, Peter, you qunt?"

With spokesmen for the Chinese leadership vehemently denying all knowledge of hacking on a daily basis, and doubling down with threats, I'm unfortunately reminded of the Bannies denial of the Monkeygate racist abuse, their three successive versions of denial as each one unravelled, and their petulant threats to fire up the jumbo ...
'didn't say anything'
'said something that sounded like it'
'said it, but it was a backhanded compliment, monkeys are Godlike'
with all the credibility of a two year old denying that they'd been in the lolly jar. It's fair to say I've utterly despised the Indian team ever since, always rooting for the Bangles and Pakistan, even England and South Africa, to beat them. Not successfully, mind. After the Windies, they had until this disgraceful exhibition always been my second favourite opposition team, going back to the days of Bedi and Prasanna, Tiger Pataudi, Viswanath, Solkar, Jaisimha, Kapil Dev, and (much later) VVS. Now they're just a pack of FB proverbials.

OK, here's a quickie.
Banger Mahmudullah decided to retire after the recent Test v Zim. He made 150* in his final Test innings. Without looking it up (there is a Cricinfo record listed) have a stab at the 6 other players who made 150 or more in their final Test innings. The list does not include Abid Ali (Pak) 215*, Asghar Stanikzai (Afg) 164 and SC Williams (Zim) 151* who all qualify but who have not retired.
I can give clues to help with guesses as the list shortens.
150 or more in their final Test innings:

150* Mahmudullah, BD v Zim, Harare, 2021
