Re: Current International One Day Cricket
IOM second wicket partnership (4 runs) held them together.

Is that Rory Burns playing for Spain then, given Joe’s playing for Italy?

I think even Rory Burns could take wickets against IOM.

Ah, that would explain the remarkably close scheduling.

AC shows his class with a calm century to anchor a nervy chase.
Not sure if any recent Test players are heading there for the later part of the series, but it would seem a bit pointless.

JRoy in the runs today. I wonder if he is learning how to pace an innings. A bit late in his career if he is, but no less welcome.

Bangladesh get in a win v England 2.0.
Usual suspects make the runs for the Bangles - Shakib & M-fakir

First home JAMODI series defeat for the Manics since 2016 (they’ve turned over India and NZ in their own backyard, as well as some relative minnows). So a decent effort from a largely second-string England.

He now works for Boral, a well-known concrete maker. As a former fast bowler, he most likely has a good brain for the role. He has, fortunately, ditched the Alice Band
His kids, less fortunately, are called Chase and Tag. Which must be worth a few hundredths of a % to the other candidates.

Wow he has gone to seed a bit. Always seemed a bit on the bitter side. Can remember the law suit. Would have loved to have seen the terms of the settlement.
What do people call their kids such ridiculous names? I blame Frank Zappa who I think was the first to go down this path.

Re: Current International One Day Cricket
Why are we playing a T20 series when the 50 over WC is six months away? As it stands, we don't play another 50 over match until after the squad has to be announced.

Well, England whitewashed in the JAMITTs. Another two or three 50-over games would have been more useful.

Aus falling in a heap after a fair first 20 thanks the Puddle with a hard-hitting 80-odd.
4-151 at half way, but on this deck they will need 340+ to be competitive.

The Aus middle and lower order simply did what they did in the Test series - FAILED BADLY - AGAIN.

this was worse since we stacked the side with no-rounders and had Maxwell/Stonis at 7 and 8. probably won't make it out of the group stage in the WC.

Re: Current International One Day Cricket
WI smash South Africa ...
Shai Hope now Has 4500 runs in ODI cricket at an average of over 50, contrasting with his very mediocre Test cricket record. We’ve seen players before who excel in ODI and do poorly in Tests (Bevan, Guptill) but I think Hope is the prototype. It’s hard to understand how he can make runs for fun in ODI yet fo so poorly at Test level.
