Shades of Slasher Mackay
Yay.
Shout out also to Rick Drewer, Stuart Webster, Greg Shipperd, and a few other notorious crabs.

Poor Puck. You wonder how much longer the Vile selectors will continue to risk his selection. It’s a Shakespearean tragedy.

So, how come no-one is talking about Ashley Chandrasinghe?
He is the future of Australian cricket.

It's a pitch where Jordan Silk of all people scored a run a ball 150+. So it can't have been that hard.

SA v NSW looking like a draw, too ... so those two sides should stay down the bottom of the table, where they belong.
WA, QLD, and Tasmania are out in front at present, with Victoria lurking not far behind after playing in three draws.
Early season performances that might draw attention when Test selection gets serious in a couple of weeks have come from Neser, Renshaw, Steketee, J Richardson, Jimmy Peirson (who SHOULD take Carey's spot, but won't ... see Hartley, Seccombe) and Agar (the other one).
Otherwise it looks like the usual suspects come T1 v the Saffies at their new home ground in Perth.

Re: Sheffield Shield 2022-2023
Crikey, what a turnaround in the Banjo-Sandy game.
The Wozzies gave themselves some hope by rolling Qld for 97 (after being 0-39) in their 2nd innings, but then were 4-24 in the chase for 190-odd.
Thanks to Cartwright and another great knock from Aaron Hardie, they got home by 3 wickets.
Remarkable.

Victoria all out 63 with Neser and Steakette the destroyers. Neser is having a good season with bat and ball.

How farked is George Bailey's NSP?
Marcus Harris is recalled to Aus squad (admittedly only v Ganjas) then manages 0 & 1 in next Shield game. Rocket scientists. Can I hear a "Henry Hunt"??

Meanwhile the Vomits are 3-36 and still trail the Banjos by 106 runs. An innings defeat still on the cards.

Re: Sheffield Shield 2022-2023
Tassie well on top v NSW and WA have almost chased down the SA first innings without losing a wicket.
At this stage of the season it looks like a race between three teams for the final ... SA, NSW and the Vixen are struggling.
