Re: West Indies v Sri Lanka, 2nd Test, PoS, 3-7 April
WI need to restrict the lankans to something like 280

Yeah, shame they didn't bowl like that last night.
Re: West Indies v Sri Lanka, 2nd Test, PoS, 3-7 April
Another wicket now and the Windies can feel on top

246/8. Hmmm, could've been so much better for WI. Unfortunate in some ways, typical WI in other ways.
Re: West Indies v Sri Lanka, 2nd Test, PoS, 3-7 April
They totally wasted the first hour yesterday.

That was too easy. JT only likes to take spectacular running catches on the boundary. He is useless off his own bowling.

That was a seriously worrying first over. How the hell was he getting it to move that much?

Yes, there was enough time between the shot and it reaching JT for me to yell GAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWNNNNNNN!!!!!!!! and dance around the room twice. It is a small room though.JKLever wrote:Thats the worst dropped caught and bowled i've ever seen!

Re: West Indies v Sri Lanka, 2nd Test, PoS, 3-7 April
They've cloned Harmy . . .
7.6 Mirando to Gayle, FOUR, swiped to deep midwicket boundary. Full in length, outside off and he slogged it across the line. Didn't quite time it but nevertheless, gets a boundary
7.5 Mirando to Gayle, FOUR, Take that! Gayle is dealing in boundaries here. Full pitched and he simply picked it up and lifted it over mid-on
7.4 Mirando to Gayle, 2 runs, just past the mid-on fielder. Fullish, swiped to the left of the fielder
7.4 Mirando to Gayle, 1 no ball, now a no ball. Cuts in from a length, towards off stump and jabbed to the off side
7.4 Mirando to Chattergoon, 2 wides, way way outside off, Sangakkara dives in front of his second slip to make a half-stop.
7.4 Mirando to Chattergoon, 1 no ball, is slightly late in getting forward but eventually does so, and manages to push a length delivery on the off stump to the leg side
7.3 Mirando to Gayle, 1 leg bye, on the pads and again, Gayle takes the bottom-hand off the handle, just tries to fend it away, mises and it runs off the pad to square leg
7.2 Mirando to Gayle, no run, outside off, left alone
7.1 Mirando to Gayle, no run, shout for lbw but high and probably, missing leg. It cut in from the off stump line, Gayle was cramped and the ball evaded the waft and thudded into the back pad, in front of leg but high. Would have gone just over.

Chattergoon looks like the result of a Devon Smith test tube experiment. Almost identical techniques....

I see what you mean but Chatters puts his weight forward through the ball when hitting through the offside, unlike Devon who gets caught at gully way too often.
Also Devon is awful against spin, unlike Chatters who looks solid even against Murali.

Hasn't Chattergoon been lolling about in Windies domestic cricket for years? Could just check Cricinfo...
