Well if reports are anything to go by from opposition players, he is a LONG WAY OFF being anywhere near the bowler he was.

He's actually given it the billy big bollox very early on into comeback number 52!!
Actually just noticed that Essex are playing Worcs in a friendly. Good news is that Jones got through 16 overs in a single days play, picking up 2 wickets.
SP Jones 16-5-46-2
I'd be surprised if he bowled anywhere close to 16 overs in a day last season.

16 overs a day is damn decent. That's about what he was bowling during the Ashes. Maybe all this comeback stuff isn't just talk.
Is there going to be any highlights on Worcester's website? We need to see the speed, swing and action and whatnot.

Surrey, Sussex & Lancs are the only sides who have video on their websites I think.
I agree, 16 overs is very encouraging whatever pace he delivered it at.
. I’ve played all the warm-up games and I’ve had no twinges at all.
“I see no reason why I shouldn’t be bowling at full throttle by the time the season starts and I’m very confident at the moment.”
Also encouraging.
I know that if I am going to get back in with England that people are going to want to see me bowl a lot of overs and to be consistent.
That's fair enough for me. I read somewhere he said he was going to attack the crease harder so that his action wasn't putting everything in at the delivery stride.

F*ck off. Northants have brilliant video highlights. There's one camera pointed at the square, it doesn't follow the ball and there's no commentary. Just how it should be.
Re: County season 2008
Do they? Cool, another to add to the list.
It's the same one as all counties use for coaching purposes, but very few counties put up highlights.

It's pretty dross, you just watch Salesy crack a shot, then watch him
Re: County season 2008
Aye, but you can get a good idea of someones technique you've never seen before.
I see Northants have a 'watch David Sales pat back some throwdowns in training' video (not that I can get any to work).
You're not the Nhants website manager are you?

Pfft, if I was, it'd be a whole lot better than it is. Believe it or not, I reckon Andrew Crook is doubling up as their web manager.
The videos do work, I'm not sure how - one time it asked for this program that I should've downloaded - next time, it worked.
I've watched the 'highlights' in a pre-season versus Surrey, so it should be OK.

Yorkshire has White Rose TV this season, JKL.

Doesn't say anything about paying, can't imagine many Yorkies would.... I've accessed the video clips that are already there ok.
Actually seeing how the home page has adverts for Costcutters and Aunt Bessie's I assume advertising will cover costs.

Essex 179 all out (Funny JKL ommitting to mention that!)
Worccs 299 for 7 declared: Kabir Ali 100* (No, really!!)

Tell me about it - I know we're traditionallly slow starters but that's taking the biscuit.
We gave Mehraj Ahmed his debut against Essex - an 18 year-old seamer: 2 for 26 off 12. One for the future I hope.
I see Chambers was playing today - what news of Westfield?

Injured probably. I seriously fear the worst for us... batting is thinner than a waif at a slimming contest.

Tons for Rob Key and Joe Denly in the Uni games.
Also for Ryan Ten Doeschate who continues to have probably the most unwarranted FC average of 55+ of any player who has ever played!!
12 tons now most of which against Bermuda,Canada, the UAE,Namibia & University sides!!

Never understood why the uni games are given FC status. Talk about money for old rope. Or some other saying which encapsulates how one-sidedly crap these games are.
