Re: English county season 2008 (VI)
I haven't given it up - it's those bottlers who have thrown it away with their crapness. Ten players looked completely out of their depth out there today and you don't win titles carrying such a burden. Now I've got to go and watch those Hampshire tw@ts bat all-day tomorrow whilst those Durham tw@ts sail to their first title against gutless Kunt.
Well played Samit Patel, anyway. A fantastic cricketer.

How can any team captained by Blobert Key be called gutless?

Lol at the Notts lads. First sign of adversity and they're throwing the towel in, it's like 1984 all over again.

I didn't come to Notts until October 1984.
Was still living in Leicestershire, watching my County Cricket at Grace Road, and waxing lyrical about David Gower's batting (if a 13yo can ever wax lyrical) during the summer of '84.
Didn't much want to come to Notts at the time to be honest!
Ah well - had to make do with watching recordings of the first two days of this game, but heading down to watch our dreams evaporate before my very eyes tomorrow.
If the match goes into a 4th day it's Durham's title in my opinion, as Notts will be chasing too large a target.
Dumb ass decision to bowl first with Tahir in the lineup and platelets all over the track before a bowl was bowled in the game.

What odds on Notts losing badly but Kent beating Durham (as it looks as though they may have to win to stay up!)

A wet outfield delays the start at Trent Bridge. Will a draw be enough for Notts?

Doubt it, there will be a result at Canterbury & Taunton you would think

He's got to be the worst local commentator in the world. 'Leesy' his name is, he's got that droll, nasally whine that immediately makes you think, 'bank clerk', or, 'accountant'. The words, 'could send a glass eye to sleep' were made for this fella.
Sussex 107-4. Nash 60 no, Prior cutting loose, 21 no, bugger!
Kent 225
Durham 398/6 (115.0 ov)
Don't leave that declaration too late boys. Give yourselves plenty of time to bowl them out again. Away the lads!

....As Middlesex have been throughout the season.
Only now, when it's just a beer match, do the twats turn it on.
Mind you, 286 of their 545 was scored by 2 previous absentees - Strauss and Shah!
Of the 259 balance, Morgan gets 136, extras 33 which left the other 4 scoring just 90 runs between them ...
Nothing changes then .... they're still twats !!

Looking at the table I am just a bit disappointed that there isn't one county going into the last game that could still be either champions or being relegated depending on how the results go.

Kent have run out of overs v Durham for their last bowling bonus point.
Sussex, Yorkshire and Kent are currently all level on points with Yorks able to collect 1 more bonus point and Susses 5 more.

Yorks just need another bonus point and if Kent lose they stay up even if they lose themselves.
Is that right?

Yes!
Yorkshire get their 3rd bowling point heaping the pressure on Kent who now need to beat Durham to stay up (essentially).
