Agree.
Think he'll be a good captain for India.
Reminds me a bit of KP - hard whilst fair, and gives credit where it's due.
I don't believe he's a cheat - just a wind-up merchant ....

So why hasn't a Happy Birthday thread been started for our Saffie friend? Don't tell me an Aussie has to start another birthday thread for one of you foreign qunts??taipan wrote:Naeem wrote:Cmon, the Aussies have been a bunch of c*nts for 10 years now.

Ahhh, I got a Happy Birthday thread on C4... as a footnote on groovedog's Happy Birthday thread. And none here. About as popular as I thought then

Have read only these two posts so can't say if anyone said this, but that's a rubbish article (except the Dhoni thing which I didn't see).

Linky
From the article:
Dhoni was also asked to explain his appeal for a catch against Mitchell Johnson, one that he had taken on the bounce. Dhoni had appealed but straightaway asked the umpire to call the third umpire because he was not sure......... "I was not sure about the catch so I immediately got up and asked the umpire [gestures as if referring a decision to the third umpire], and Rudi [Koertzen] said that he [Johnson] never nicked it. So there was no point," Dhoni said.
FWIW. That's all I gotta say on the subject.
They're all qunts anyways, reporter Jon Pierik on down, inclusive of many players on both sides.
Gotta love the Aussie media. Atleast there's one that's crappier than ours.
Also did Johnson nick it? If yes, that's another Rudi moment.

Australia are whining about nothing, they're just sore losers IMO
Dhoni's catch claim off Johnson
- I don't know if the journalist or any of you guys watched the match, but Dhoni never went crazy with his celebration, truthfully he hardly celebrated, he just asked the question and signalled for the 3rd umpire because he wasn't sure whether he had caught it or not.
Can't say nothing about the Zaheer situation, but big deal he rubbed it in, like Aussie players have never done that
I don't even blame Zaheer in a way, because after he made his comments in the last test match, Ponting came out and said "He's just happened to have a good game as well, which is pretty unusual for him," Ponting said. "He's had a good game. It's up to him to back it up again."
Well Zak really showed him

Zak's a bit of a hot-head. Not all the time like some of the others, but he has a tendency to lose it when things are not going well (unlike Sreesanth who's an idiot and loses it without reason) for him. Not a very admirable trait.

The Aussies are. I more or less established that with proof on the match thread.

Not much point in discussing that, the quntish scale goes:
Ind = Aus > everyone else.
Gigantic twats.
Anyone defending Zaheer should slow it down. He's a prick.

Nah ......... not really.philcric wrote:How the perception of Indian cricket team has changed in 8 years
They're still a bunch of sooky la la wimps (bar their respected seniors).
They still bitch about being on the wrong end of umpires decisions.
They still moan at the fact everyone has a go at them.
They're still a bunch of wussies (except when playing on home turf) ...
And now, just because they're turning up the heat on a sub-standard Aussie team of has-beens and no-marks, they're
now bigging themselves up and acting just as they normally did, only this time with a bit more panache.
ie., like prize Qunts. And there's absolutely no need for that.
Rather than just stepping aside with wry smile and basking in the glory of a massive win.
Zaheer, Sreesanth, Bhajji, Ishant ... all hot-head tosspots whose actions and words make Laurel and Hardy
appear Shakespeareanesque.

Further proof that Rudi Koertzen should no longer be an international umpire. Johnson hit the cover off it.

perceptions change when you go from a middle-level 'home' team to a team challenging now to be number one. still need more consistency though
we are winning matches in each country, but have won series only in countries like windies, bangladesh and england. we need to win in south africa, australia and sri lanka to be taken seriously as number one

I don't think there is any clear number 1 team at the moment. I'd back India to beat Australia, i'd back South Africa to beat India, and i'd back Australia to beat South Africa.
