Which is the reason I like Dhoni, some fans' claims of cheating notwithstanding.

He's doesn't have the generally submissive mindset of the people/ teams that played for India upto the mid 90s. But he's not an arrogant in your face f*ck as well. Man is tough as nails, but does not go overboard. Unlike some players who seem to think that the way to show the world we're not going to be rolled over (which is absolutely necessary in itself) is to behave like a dckihead.

Of course Hayden, Ponting, Symmo are also not particularly pleasant characters themselves.

Another factor I would throw in for a potential decline in the "fire of the Aussies" is their vested interest in IPL/ICL etc.

More about Dhoni,

he picked up one of the stumps, walked quietly across to Gautam Gambhir, whose batting had been so important, and gave it to him. Gambhir was not surprised. Apparently stumps were also given to Amit Mishra, Virender Sehwag and Sourav Ganguly. It was a considerate gesture from a captain towards one of his young players. Doubtless it was appreciated. Here was a man in charge of himself and his team, a man capable of giving and inspiring loyalty.

Was he too scared to give a stump to Zaheer and Harbi?

From the previous era Kapil Dev was one who was tough without being arrogant.

Michael Clarke has made himself available for the next IPL auction. Have you not heard that. Ravi Shastri and AB were discussing about him and Mitchell Johnson's IPL prospects and how they could get into Year 2 during their commentary stint on Day 4.

Aussie media in "Desperately digging for a way to have a go at the Indians in the wake of Australia's comprehensive thrashing" shock. What a bunch of sore losers.

Are you an Aussie sports journalist, Zat? Oh no, that's right, you're just a paranoid c*nt who gets all hot and bothered at any criticism directed towards anyone or anything Australian.

I was having a go at an Aussie sports journalist, but congratulations- Now i'm having a go at you.

You were having a go at something Australian. Just for a change.

If you ever said anything positive about anything Australian, then you might have some cred on that matter.

Instead, you're just a festering turd. Not for a change.

And it is just the opposite in the Indian media. They shred the Indian players apart after a defeat. You might have read many articles after we lost the 'Mendis-series' in Lanka.

It was a predictable toss-pot of an article from a toss-pot journo.

I wouldn't be surprised if he had typed it up ready to go for the last 6 months. All he had to before submitting was delete Bhaji and replace with Zak

Aye.

Matter of fact I was pissed with it as soon as he mentioned Dhoni appealing. Dhoni simply wasn't sure.

Hmmm, he seems to be clutching at straws and seems a bit 'smacked-arse'.

Saying this, Zaheer is a f*cking qunt. I loathe that overly-aggressive piece of shit.

Not the first time Dhoni's claimed a bump-ball, but as has been said he seems a noble and trustworthy bloke and his explanation should say most of it.

Nothing else to see.

Bung showing his big heart again.
