What's all the fuss about anyway? Surely KP has other things on his mind: http://www.itv.com/Entertainment/reality/dancingonice/Thecelebrities/JessicaTaylor/default.html

Dello wrote:Read somewhere that Flintoff was actually quite happy with Moores' "ways". Rumoured not to be Pietersen's biggest fan, I wouldn't imagine this development will have improved relations.
Also, I can't believe for one minute that Shah or Bell will be thrilled to read that their captain is prepared to walk out of his job rather than lead a squad without Michael Vaughan - it'd have to be one of them that would have to make way for his inclusion. He couldn't have made it much clearer how little he thinks of them as players. Or one of them, at least.
And this is on top of the final days of the Fletcher reign where it was alleged that the squad was split down the middle between the Ashes 2005 "untouchables" and the rest - the shitmunchers. Doesn't feel as though much has changed in that regard. The MBEs seem to get far more leeway to fail than the regular civilians.
A squad in disarray, I'd suggest. Or "England" as they're more commonly known.
succinct, astute, sage...not so much pomgolia in crisis as pomgolia in weekly replay of the Benny Hill best of's (?)

More like does KP get what he wants, or he quits. The captain runs a cricket team, not the farquin coach and we need to get back to that.

FWIW, Ford was approached for the India job upon the recommendation of Dravid, who rated him really high.

Re: Pietersen wants emergency talks...
Well what a farce.
Nothings changed really its just out in the open - which should never have happened, shame the ECB are too busy kissing some qunt's arse with a shedload of money instead of sorting their house out instead.
1. KP is a tw@t. His ego is all he is interested in, and if it looks bad for him its someone else's fault, i.e Mumbai etc.... as already discussed. He also knows exactly how to leaverage his position, but the problem is, he's over-rating the ability of himself as a captain and MPV is the papers etc are right, so he'll just end up looking like a right nors.
2. Moores was always going to de a dreadful waste of space, and he has proven it perfectly, but this was obvious 6 months ago, and the ECB farked up by not booting him out then!
So all in all it'll end messy for both of them, and to be honest if we keep picking the same cosy clique then I really don't care if it blows up on both of them!
However in all this, the ECB are fully to blame. They are responsible for the below which has lead us into this situation:
Moores as coach
The current bunch of spineless selectors
The clique - they allowed it to happen when everyone can see its detrimental IMO.
The selectors are a bunch of jokers

The "clique" would therefore have to be broken up Chas.
Meaning Vawn (if re-selected for WI) Piles, Colly and Dinga ... from the '05 MBE group.
Those who still merit a mention from back then (and therefore stay put) would be KP, Fred, Straussy and 'armless.
I'd go with that...

Sounds a right old Fred Karno.
English cricket in crisis? You read it here first.

I don't think there's the remotest chance of Vaughan being reselected. I think he would refuse it flat if offered anyway.

Do you honestly think he would tour under those circumstances? It's unthinkable.

Vaughan wouldn't put himself in the firing line like that - for one thing I reckon he would lose the respect of his team mates - yet another vat of acid for the England squad to bathe in.
