I am ashamed.
It is a miracle that we have a half decent cricket team considering the administration of the game in the West Indies.

Abandoned for the day, pending change of venue it seems. If they can't change venues the match will be abandoned.

Geoff Hurst, "We put the heavy rollers on 24 hours before the days play"
You've just flattened the Sand out, the players will kick it up. FFS.
This is a joke.

On the cricket side of things, England must be quite disheartened by this. They came here expecting a road, some easy batting practice. Now they might not even get that before the Barbados test.

What a collective bag of shit. If you're incapable of hosting the premier form of cricket, you should never host it again. This tour has been set in stone for ages now and it's an absolute farce that cricket has to suffer another embarrassment like this when it was clear to all and sundry that the out-field was going to be a huge problem from the moment both teams shacked up here. Neither side has been allowed to step foot on the ground until today, so why the hell was it ever allowed to go ahead? Which numpty actually thought these conditions were suitable for cricket in the first place? Everyone should be ****** sacked after another pathetic sleight on the game of cricket. I'm sick of this shit; every ****** year there's something pathetic going on. ****** the lot of 'em.

Shameful stuff: -
Don't think they'll be laughing when they do find out...
Laughably, there hasn't yet been a public announcement at the ground. The spectators are milling around, hoping and expecting for an update. If any of you are reading...go back to your hotels.

They are digging up the run-ups and are going to replace them with soil.
How the hell is that going to work?

Spend the day emailing my @rse off to fit in my IT course and to get home early and watch Owais, and it gets called off. Balls. A stop off for wine is a very good idea Ange, thanks for that small inspiration! Takeaway too? or maybe not whilst still sober.

The WICB CEO has said the match will definitely stay in Antigua.
The officials, staff etc are going to the ARG to have a look at conditions and make a decision.

Hmmmm, this is somewhat farcical.
They are using a JCB to dig up the run ups I would suggest, then what, concrete fill in, or use the turf from the ARG??
This test wont get moved to the ARG, and will probably go to another island in a week I expect!
Watch, Ian Bell hit it well in the nets and the little farking scroate get picked for the third test without Shah having a bat.
The ICC c0ck had washed his hands of all of this???? Surely they knew the pitch was carp, and the match ref??
Jokers.

And if by some miracle it does. Why are they now thinking of this. Did no one realize having a sandpit for a runup would be troublesome?

BBC correspondent reporting eye witness evidence of the ARG outfield (never mind a Test quality wicket) being completely unsuitable / unplayable.

So Antigua has no suitable Test Venues? Oh god. Maybe sucking up to Al Stanford will be the only answer? I'm sure the WICB would fail at that too.

Also, is this tour going to be a big old amalgamation of all the worst bits for England of previous tours? a 51 all out (46 a/o), 10 over game (10 over game)
What next?

lol they are tailoring the run-ups to the individual bowlers run-up.
I am so ashamed. The players did their part in Jamaica, only to be let down by the administrators at the first opportunity.
Heads must roll.
