Let's see if I've got this right - Antigua has three cricket grounds which, in theory are capable of staging international cricket, yet there is no domestic cricket played there.

All the domestic 20-20's are played at the Stanford Ground. But no First Class cricket has been played there for a few years now.

So how's that going to foster emerging talent on the island?

They play LICA tournament matches there, which is probably a similar standard to club cricket and anyone who impresses makes the Leeward Islands team.

The Leeward Islands home matches take place at various places as they are trying to play cricket in front of as many people as possible.

Having said that the administration of the game in the Leeward Islands is dreadful and I don't think they can actually afford to host FC games.

If this is as pacey as the England team are trying to make out then I hope Fidel finds some rhythm as I would love to see him bowl like he did in NZ. That combined with JT would be immense.

Still survive that and England will get to feast on Powell.
