Anywhere, just curious as to where people prefer.

I'm going to Hawaii in the summer (a-whoo hoo)
I went to Amsterdam for a work trip and you won't meet nicer people anywhere.
Also recently went to India and it was pretty amazing.

Anywhere where you can switch off, my bed/sofa/garden can be that place sometimes. It's a mind set.

Nah, close though - like to go to the lake district every few years. Love walking in wilderness, though you're probably thinking of places like Ibiza right?
Think I'd like to take a week on the Norfolk Broads sometime too.

That's not the Norfolk Broads, there aren't any narrow boats....

It is, if you look closely you can see someone fondling their blood relative.

Re: Favourite Holiday Destinations?
We're considering going on the Euro Star to Paris and then down to the South of France, all by train. However, I've started looking into it and it's a hell of a lot to organise - even getting from here to Ashford!
I'd like to go somewhere hot and sunny.
Regarding Staithes . . . I didn't cheat. I've been there and it reminded me very much of Cornwall. That's why I recognised it.

What's a Mississippi paddle steamer doing on the Broads?
Go on Mr Lever, sing Old Man River for us...

I've been to N'Orleens, it's nowhere big enough but you still have to sing....

Re: Favourite Holiday Destinations?
Belgium's lovely.
For the unashamed tourist, the main Square has a night-time lights display. There's Bruges and its canal cruise; horse and buggy rides; mini-Europe display; avenues of little restaurants where maitre ds stand outside, call you 'gorgeous' and hail you to eat at THEIR restaurant, instead of all the others, (in a nice way); quartets play Mozart on street corners; there's the Mannequin Pis; not to mention the waffles, ice cream and chocolate. Belgian lace is a good souvenir/gift to take home too. And the people are gentle and welcoming.
If it's a shortish hol, then it's a great place to see.

I don't drink so much, so I didn't think about it.
But I brought home two glass beer steins, which managed to stay intact even though baggage handlers did their damndest to smash em to bits!!
