Dammit, why won't the damn thing show the full frame?
Really must get around to uploading images. Not even a tenth of them in there yet . . .

It tends to be a bit cooler and damper and windier, Jekyll. A little more English, though still a good bit warmer. It's beautiful. If you like walking in the wild you'd love the place.
Pretty good beaches, too.

No, I'm not keen on the south coast of Cornwall tbh. The Scillies are amazing, considering they're less than 28 miles from Land's End. A different world altogether. Unfortunately, the sky isn't always that blue . . .JKLever wrote:Aye, the south coast is very nice Dem. Must go to the Scillies one day... didn't Arlott retire there?
Regarding Arlott, yes and I believe he wrote about the islands too.

I always go on PAINT to resize mine. I guess there's better ways but that always works for me.freddled gruntbuggly wrote:Dammit, why won't the damn thing show the full frame?

No, I don't like to resize below a certain point for photobucket, but it used to fit the frame to the page, looks like their latest updates have done away with that.
I do all my editing with Photoshop CS. It has hundreds of tools I never touch, but does do the things I need very well. Besides, I'm used to it.

Aye, I prefer the Devon coast mostly.
I like Clovelly especially, if it wasn't for the fact that most of the people seem related to each other i'd love to live there...

If you want to upload pics just use the editor here? Click on the 6th icon from the left and you can either upload from your pc or it'll grab it from a url and it lets you resize.

Ahhh, thanks, Jekyll. Saves me the trouble of having to get things into pb first, if I want to put them in here.JKLever wrote:If you want to upload pics just use the editor here? Of course, if I got my finger out and uploaded them asap after editing them, it wouldn't be an issue. Not that I'm a procrastinator, of course . . .

FFS, I had no idea it was so simple. I thought we had to use a host. That saves a lot of time!JKLever wrote:If you want to upload pics just use the editor here? Click on the 6th icon from the left and you can either upload from your pc or it'll grab it from a url and it lets you resize.

The most beautiful place I have ever been to is Simbo Island in the Solomon Islands:

You don't need beaches for a place to be beautiful. It has a rugged volcanic beauty, like an unspoiled tiny version of St Lucia. That is an extinct crater that has become a lake. It is halfway up the volcano and it has a huge number of Crocs that can't go near the edge as the water is too hot.
If I wanted to go to a beach I would head straight to Maracas Bay in sweet T & T, and I would head for Richard's Shark n bake stall and pile on the pepper.

Tassie doesn't do Butlins.
Nor do I.
Ben Lomond, Cape Pillar, Hartz, Anne, Field West, Frenchman's, Walls and the Overland will do nicely - maybe with a few day walks thrown in.
