Kartik's analysis of 6/27 is best ever in ODIs for SLAs. Previous best was Jaya's 6/29 against Eng way back in '93.
And for the first time in ODIs, left armers took all 10 wickets to fall in an innings, 16 overall in the match, again a WR.

Biggest positive for India in this series is the batting of Uthappa, who I think should not have damocles sword hanging over his head before every game he plays from now on.
Another might be that Karthik may not be playing another ODI for India anytime soon.

Yes, Uthappa has earned himself a run in the ODI side. Now if only they'd have tried out one of Rohit Sharma or SBadrinath......

Kartik was dropped from Indian test team after he won MoM for Mumbai test against Aussies in '04.
He'd hope that he would be luckier this time round.

Murali has done well this tour but I can't help but think he's still a disaster waiting to happen. Although he really could be changed now after all those years in Indian domestic and English county cricket.

Yep, agree with all of that about Kartik.
Bedi once said that Kartik is more talented than Bhajji. Despite him being a loudmouth, Bedi surely knows a thing or two about spin bowling.

Thank God for Doordarshan, they may have the worst commentary team in human history, but for all their greediness, they don't come close to these Neo bast***s.
Yep, Doordarshan did not cut for more than 10 minutes after the match got over. Neo has got to be the worst broadcaster yet.

I shudder at the thought of having to bear with Neo's coverage of Indian cricket to be played in India for next 3 years.

But according to Bedi everyone is better than Bhajji and SLAs should also bepicked in every Indian squad. He was campaiging for Ojha recently in a news channel. And do you remember Sarandeep Singh?

Sarandeep Singh!!!!!!
If ever you want to see a spinner who is crap in truest sense of the word, don't go any further than Sarandeep Singh.

Yes, and he was better than Harbhajan too, according to Bedi, and that after just months of the '01 Aussie series.

if i was there i would have booed him too, he's been smack-talking since he arrived here. the indian players too have admitted that he is one of the main sledgers on the field. but i certainly hope there were no racist taunts
this aussie team has been one of the worst touring sides i have seen when it comes to building a good relationship with the hosts. nothing like the side waugh got here. all the talk they have had has been purely negative

And of course the fact tthat Waugh's side didn't have the temerity to spank India has nothing to do with it...The One wrote:this aussie team has been one of the worst touring sides i have seen when it comes to building a good relationship with the hosts. nothing like the side waugh got here. all the talk they have had has been purely negative

Didn't Tugga have a battle with the lb because lb was deliberately turning up late for the toss ...

Put Ponting into Waugh's shoes and imagine how he'd've reacted had that happened to him at the toss with Ganguly!!!

Ponting laughed off a similar incident where he was kept waiting an hour at a photo shoot in the Windies during the WC. But continue to think the worst of Punter, as I'm sure it bothers him.

Yep, waiting for a photo shoot is same as waiting at the toss.
But continue to think of these bizarre analogies, as I'm sure it bothers me.

To be kept waiting by the opposing captain for an hour on the evening before the WC final, would be a bit more frustating than a few minutes at the toss, one would think. But hey, knock yourself out.
