My instinct would be to vote Lib Dem, but I may end up voting tactically for the Tories just to get rid of our Labour MP. A pity really as he (Michael Foster) is one of the good guys, but we really can't have another five years of this shambles of a government.

Hasn't stopped Euroland being engulfed in the sub-prime fiasco which emerged from over the water. Europe is hardly a superpower when it spends less than 2% of its GDP on defence and when the rules of engagement for its troops consist of:

a) firing in the air
b) running in the opposite direction to the enemy at a rapid rate of knots

as demonstrated by the current German Army, a shabby successor to the Reichswehr and Wehrmacht of old, mainly consisting of teenagers who can't bear the thought of doing 2 years' "community work", in Afghanistan. Even Britain spends less on its armed forces, as a proportion of GDP, than at any time since Neville Chamberlain was at the Treasury. No wonder we find wars so difficult to win.
