Re: The UK General Election Thread
Actually it was live on the BBC news channel which, with the digital switch over, most people have access to if they wanted to press the buttons on their remotes but don't let facts get in the way of your BBC loathing, Allen.

Re - the three ringed circus ....
Is anybody REALLY watching the whole hour/hour and a half charade throughout?
Dunno about the rest of youse ... but I'm finding it tedious and boring TBH when I do tap into it in between adverts on other channels ....... same old, same old .. repetitive clap trap; sniping each other; boorish back-biting; Bwown pallying up to Nickie and both trying to castrate the boy David....
This is typical US Presidential stuff, rigged for the masses to injest to allegedly assist them in "making their minds up"...
All a load of bollocks ....
One question - would anyone in their right mind buy a used car from Nick Clegg?

He does seem to have a great knack for celebrating before winning... He seems sure that we are going to stuff Australia later this year as well. The last time I remember him being so sure of us beating Australia away from England was around 2006... Can't remember exactly what happened though.JKLever wrote:Merlins getting worried. And more than likely to be pretty much true, I suppose. Though the pronblem with Cameron is not Cameron. ~ Okay, I'll stop being serious again now.

Not in the slightest Leve ol' son, not in the slightest.
Unlike some, I'm not enamoured by a "sincere" pretty faced, yellow tied spiv, the "we told you that first" stereotype... Vincent's permanent shadow ... on the basis of him creating a wankfest among the populace following his circus act just because he's eye-candy for the females and gays out there! His pinkos would sell the country down the river on the EU (remember, Clegg was an MEP in his previous life) and Defence and Immigration ... and ....
Would the LibDems have attracted all this "support" had the piss-head Charlie Kennedy fronted them on TV ?
Simple answer - No.
So what's it al down to???
Think about it......
Vilks - you ask ...
You'd buy one (a used car) from Cameron or Brown?
Yes I would, but NOT now from Bwown.
There was a time, some 3 years ago, when Bwown seemed like a breath of fresh air as he took over from the corrupt and spineless spinner Blair ... I honestly did believe he was going to make a far better Prime Minister.
But then ... everything went pear shaped in every which way - and it all happened on HIS watch.
Cameron would not be my first choice Tory leader as I still believe Hague has what it takes.
Hague would have made cow pats out of Cleggie and Bwown in the circuses ... but ... can't have everything.

None of it, except in an unintentional ironic way. I think it's designed to please the Britney-loving Lib Dem airheads.

Re: The UK General Election Thread
I wonder if Nick Griffin and either Pearson or Farage from UKIP had been included in the debates as well whether their parties' ratings would have gone up exponentially too? However if you had added them, the daft woman from the Greens, Alex Salmond, the Welsh Nationalist, Martin McGuinness and Peter Robinson it would have looked like the line-up in The Usual Suspects.

Good in his time during his time ... but a busted flush now amongst all the pimple faced, TV hyped politicians.
He was fun though ... once.

The tories would be doing way better in the polls if Ken Clarke was chancellor rather than the inept George Osborne.

Totally agree ... but like I said earlier ... pimple faced "new politicos" .JKLever wrote:The tories would be doing way better in the polls if Ken Clarke was chancellor rather than the inept George Osborne.
Osborne's a twat and the muck's being raked on him - but sadly the boy David's stuck with him - well, at least until the first cabinet shake-up we hope!

Hague? Crumbs. Taxi for Merlin's marbles.
Couldn't even hold his own on Question Time last night.
Least you didn't say Michael Howard, I suppose. Or John Redwood...

Amusing ...Couldn't even hold his own on Question Time last night.
Judging by your comment I can only presume your life is goverened by a snapshot blimp of how you view things ... or rather, wish them to be viewed!
Hague's one of the better debaters in the political arena ...

I'd be letting the side down if I didn't make damn sure of turning over the crim first before he ever thought of making me his "prey" ...
