Revised points system in the championship next season:
Win - 16 points (formerly 14)
Draw - 3 points ( was 4)
Bonus points available for the first 110 overs of the first innings (was 120)
Good old ECB: tinker around the edges but do nothing substantial. Bonus points are counter-productive and need to be scrapped.

At least there is a 13 point gap between winning and drawing rather than 10.

Probably won't stop the Bears crabbing their way to mid-table security on the back of three wins though!

I wouldn't wish three wins on the dreaded Bears even if there was a lottery win riding on it!!

The deal is done. We're getting Tait for our T20 campaign.
Not a fan of his, but atleast it'll add some raw pace to our meagre bowling line-up.

He'll do alright... for the first 8 balls. Then he's f*cked. More f*cked than Fat Sam P stealing a quick single.
Re: county cricket off season talk
Aslong as he gets a wicket with each ball, I cgaf.

Worcestershire sign Phil Jaques as overseas player for the first half of next season. That'll do for me!

Rory Hamilton-Brown-Cap joins Surrey, as they become the county with the most punchable captain.

This could end in tears - a wet-behind-the-ears captain in charge of a squad with some fairly combustible characters in it. All I can say is that Surrey must have made Hamilton-Brown an offer he couldn't refuse - one with plenty of zeros on the end.

Kabir Ali failed to report back to New Road last Monday for pre-season training - speculation is that a deal will be done to allow him to join the home for knackered Worcestershire bowlers - Hampshire

Didn't notice it mentioned here, but one-time fast-bowling prospect Mark Footitt has joined Derby - where young cricketers go to die.

Hopefully, Cozzy will unleash hell on the rest of the teams, espesh Worcs!

He was certainly munching down on the delicious pies that Worcs served up today.
