It is silly when you look at it. Middlesex trying to buy a trophy - and it's the Twenty20 one. Setting your sights high, eh?

How desperate is this, I've never heard anything like it - we are so poor that Monty gave us 10 grand as a thank you for all we've done for him. I bet there're club sides with more money than us. Dread.

Couldn't agree more HN ...
Much as I would welcome the genial and exciting Gilly to play for Muddlesex,
I can't help feeling that it's one helluva waste of money, as I doubt he'll come cheap!

Ho hum ... and Shaun Udal FFS will still be the captain ... 'nuff said I think! Rolling Eyes

I just hope the rumours about SR Tender Dwarf coming to Lord's aren't true ...
I hate Gus Fraser.

James Harris talks on USA and India.

He also discusses the Cardiff pitch, putting on weight and other things. To be honest, he's an astute a stout lad.

Don't use phonetical spelling

Pretty desperate - I don't think many counties are that flush outside the test arenas. Hoggard would have been too expensive for Essex apparently (though he ends up at Licestershire, go figure that one out?)

Don't be aiming too high Smerky ol' son ... the Div 2 wooden spoon is perfectly adequate west of the Avon bridge! Wink

If they made Cardiff a fast-quick friendly deck; then Harris would run riot.

Although, we'd struggle to hit the 150 mark on a regular basis.

Could be a few fireworks in the one day games then.... though it further shows that county cricket can't get the top names it did 25 years ago.

It also says a lot about our finances!

Still haven't signed a keeper. Bumpy keeps talking about a loan signing to cover the first halsf of the season when Cox is still at school. Can just see it now - Cox breaks a thumb the day after the loan player returns to his county!

We spoke to him during the season and said thanks, but no thanks when the discussions turned to money.

We've signes Ben Scott on loan for the start of next season. I have an uneasy feeling that this will ewnd in tears - suppose Middlesex recall him or he breaks a thumb before Ben Cox finishes his exams.

Also, I'm not sure that we should be telling Cox that a berth in the firtst eleven will be handed to him on a plate, which is effectively what we're doing.

Looks like we might be getting Tait for our T20 campaign. Dizzy recommended him our way.

Noice.
