interesting story in the melbourne Age today uses 2007 Indian data on murders...India apparently has more than double the rate of Australia...the indian murder stats excluded over 8,000 'dowry' deaths where the bride was knocked off by the groom or family because of displeasure with amount in the dowry...

it seems the indian media makes little mention of the 100 murders a day in india unless a celeb is involved

Phillip of Spain wept when his fleet was sunk.
No one else?
Frederick the Great won the Seven Years War.
Who helped him out?

Another victory proclaimed on every page.
Who cooked the victory feasts?
A new great man every ten years.
Who paid the expenses?

They won't let that get in the way of mass hysteria though, h. Rolling Eyes

This very thread seems to indicate that Indian killing Indian (particularly in a domestic situation) is all a bit "meh" but if anyone touches an overseas Banindian student, the red button will be pushed.

there's more to this than meets the eye.

the australian govt is continuously justifying the attacks in various forms. It seems the aus govt has formed vigilante squads to attack Indian students because they feel that these students will stay on in Aus after studies, which they are fully entitled to since they were promised PR after their studies.

But now the Aus govt is having double thoughts on this matter and have decided to intimidate those coming here by launching some goon squads at them and the police have been asked to lie low and not register any strong cases against the perpetrators. Any weak case is also easily dismissed in court.

Instead of reversing the rule where students are indeed offered PR after 2 years of education in Aus, they have decided that it would be a good enough carrot to entice white students from balkan's or SA perhaps but do not have the guts to revert openly back to their white-Australia policy. And thus are going about it very sneakily.

Out of 500 odd instances of racist assault specifically directed against Indian students in Aus in the past few years. Only one conviction has been obtained. Surely this can't be possible without complicity from aus govt at some level.

And yes, they sure are capable of doing this stuff. Govt's are capable of playing dirty until are convinced that they can be punished for that.

Before a few jump onto their soapboxes, let me assure that govt's have been caught of doing similar or even worse stuff in the past. US, Britain and other anglo-saxon countries have done terrible crimes against humanity and then polished it off with some high sounding excuse or reasoning or just subdued all publicity of such eventsdia especially from the glare of international media. So Aus is learning from the best in the business.

Australia of today somewhat similar to another Island in the Indian Ocean which was ruled by Ravan. Nobody can suggest that he was completely wrong either but the means which he adopted towards the end was what could be held wrong. Aus is in the same position today.

Victim of bashing says they're not racially motivated. I've bolded the really important bit.
A PROMINENT Indian-born GP bashed senseless by thieves in Melbourne's west says recent attacks on foreign students are "just bad people doing bad things."
Amid a growing backlash over the murder of Indian student Nitin Garg, former Australian Medical Association president Mukesh Haikerwal said such attacks were not racially motivated.

"The Indian student issue is really one of people who don't have transport, working very late at night to hold down jobs to do their study, and who are in the wrong place at the wrong time," he said.
And FWIW...
Three offenders were sentenced to a combined 45 years for attacks on Dr Haikerwal and 33 other victims.
Now can one of the Indian racism-apologists here please confirm for me that a bloke who was actually a victim of an attack would know far less about what is going on than some Indian politician looking for an excuse to draw attention away from domestic issues.

I,d like to know what courses they are studying and where at? We're obviously setting the bar way too low if we're allowing people in to study who shouldn't be allowed to cross the street on their own.

What's the entrance requirement? The ability to tie your own shoelaces?

Why? Either he comes to Australia and nothing happens to him, meaning he might STFU, or he comes to Australia and gets the living suitcase beaten out of him, possibly terminally, and is made to STFU. Win-win.

baring his gift sounds a hell of a lot more scarier than bearing a gift ...but is probably acceptable behaviour in Dubberland
