When you read crap like this it makes you think they have a point.

At least they are advertising which are the Halal outlets. In Australia 60% of abattoirs & a number of major food distributors pay to be Halal certified. The costs are added on to the retail markup but they don't have to reveal anything in the labeling so you never know if you are paying this Muslim tax.

UKIP's main USP seems to be that they are racist, but not as racist as the BNP, which makes it alright.

Re: UK politics thread
One little known fact is that there was no halal certification as such for 1300 years. This new innovation of the Muslim Brotherhood, together with the promotion of sharia finance to ensure the whole business of funding, production and distribution is ‘halal’, has become a global market estimated to be upwards of $1.2 trillion. The Muslim Brotherhood promoted the halal industry as a ‘financial jihad’ against the West.
But of course, in Australia, we have these wonderful anti vilification laws which prevent the facts being known.

I lifted it from the 'Australian Christians' site. I'm not a member but have no reason to doubt their credibility.

No vilks - whilst you have a point about the racist element within the UKIP ranks (along with the unreconstructed sexist & homophobic elements) - they're not unique in having unsavoury characters either within the party, or among their activists & supporters.
Their USP is that they're not the three main parties, with interchangeable policies, fraudsters, cheats, liars, conmen and hypocrites. It's my belief that there are huge swathes of disenfranchised citizens who vote labour or tory out of "tribal loyalty" so to speak, knowing full well that their party no longer truly reflects their views and values.
The big parties want power for the sake of it - not to improve the lot of the ordinary men & women, but to entrench their own positions, and nothing will change until they are washed away. UKIP as it is now isn't the answer IMO, but if they can damage Millipede & Cameron badly enough, there may be a chance for new parties to emerge from the wreckage (not unlike the old SDP did 30 years ago).
They rely on each other for survival, but are completely moribund - as shown by the last GE in 2010. After three years of economic carnage, Cameron couldn't get a majority even with the contempt at the time for the Blair/Brown administrations.
Labour & Conservative are like two rotten, rancid, stinking maggoty corpses. Both appear to be standing upright because they're leaning against one another. Kick the legs from under one, and both will fall & shatter. The sooner that happens, the better for everyone.

I'm not saying Labour or the Tories are all fine and dandy but as you say yourself, UKIP are not the answer.

Look on the bright side, you could have the ANC and the EFF.

vilks - forgive me, I didn't mean to suggest that you thought LibLabCon were fine and dandy ...... but I still hope UKIP give them all a good shoeing, because AFAIC they (UKIP) can't do a worse job in many areas of policy.
taips - to a significant number of people now, we may as well have, for all the difference it would make to their everyday lives ..........

Wait until you have a president who spends 206mil on his private residence and claims he is not reponsible as he didn't ask for it.
Or wait until you have racist quotas force onto your national teams.
