Re: England v Pakistan, 3rd Test , The Oval, Aug 18-22, 2010
Well, that day just about sums up the Paksters perfectly. Pretty inept stuff for several hours before gifting Cook his ton with a throw over the keepers head off a ball patted back to the bowler. Then they go apesh!t and tear through the middle and lower order to be on the brink of victory. Although a collapse chasing a small target is very much on the cards for the Paksters.
The rollercoaster ride that is Pakistani cricket.
Well done to Cook on posting a ton after a woeful run. May he bring his carpest form to Aus for the Ashes.

Express away, krikri. It's all good.krikri wrote:Don't quote me wrote:krikri wrote:DJ_Smerk wrote:Pietersen bowled by an off-spinner...would you believe.
Bit generous to name him that. Haven't seen him bowl one delivery with a straight arm yet.
The close England get to defeat the louder thr whinging about various players actions, ball tampering etc
Whether England lose, or win, I think he chucks, it's that's what it looks like on tv. Whether he takes 0-250 or 6-30, he looks like he chucks it. Am I not allowed to express an opinion on a message board now?

Great position BUT still not confident due to the recent choke jobs in AUS and SL.
Aamer is just Aamer, there is really no need to say anything MORE about how brilliant a TALENT he is.
Ajmal has done well but i am starting to doubt his action as well because its getting worse.

Got home from last night's gig and switched on the teev to see England cruising at tea. Decided to watch a few overs, mainly because Pietersen has been exposed as a pretender lately and would either hit out or get out. When he left a gap between bat and pad that a truck could have gotten through, I decided to stick around a bit longer. Must say, the epic collapse that ensued was enjoyable to watch.
And also showed that maybe what the Pakis did to Australia wasn't a complete fluke.

Hehehe, I'm jealous. I ran out of puff before the end of the replay of the Knights v Broncs Leeeg game. Each time I flicked over to the cricket Cook and Trott seemed to be setting up an insurmountable lead. How wrong I was - or was I?

Agree on both. Aamer is class. Ajmal is a pinger.

Have to say that Pakistan have done marvelouslly well to come back after the drubbing they took in the last game. England not really pushing them but Pakistan haven't imploded which for them is good!

Lordy, forgot about this in the heat of Election night. 91 more to get with 9 wickets in hand. Can the Paksters choke from here?

Easy victory in the offing.
Should get a bit of thinking done in the England camp.

They've held their nerve this time.
KP must be under pressure to hold his place. Strauss must be feeling the heat as well. Had Pakistan not chosen to bat first in the last test, this series could have been even closer.

Pakistan need 2 dozen to win. Had 7 wickets in hand, and now a silly run out. There's still a a chance they could do worse than they did in Sydney.

MoYo is always a good bet for involvement in a run-out... a couple more wickets would put a bit of doubt into their minds.
