Or much to beat in the opposition either.
Ussie a tad unlucky despite not having runs behind him as he didn't get long to bat on a pitch which offered the bowlers very little not that far into our innings.

Well, he had 5 times the opportunity that Bog had and came up with 37, 21, 21, 26 and 13*. Bog came up with 141. I'll leave you to ponder the merits of the two performances.

I remember in the early 80s that Lillee's body was struggling with injuries and he was being considered to be 12th man when Rackemann pulled out of a Test with a slight muscle twinge ...Lillee took a michelle and kept his spot and Rackemann was still 12th when he was fit
Lillee told him never give a sucker a break and that he'd played most of his career with injuries worse than Mocca's niggle
Koaja could have demanded he bat at 3 (which is supposedly his natural position) and Bog bat at 6 ...and he could have batted Marsh out of the team by denying him a bat (if he was good enough) ...stiff sh!t Koaja

Or maybe they're just not quite good enough.

Delayed start.
9.20am There's good news and bad news from Dan Brettig in Colombo. Let me soften the bow a little. It might be humid there, but it is not raining. The bad news now: the soggy outfield has delayed the start. There will be an inspection at9.45am, and if all is fine, we will have the toss at 10

Why are we playing test cricket in this country at this time of year?

"Good news from Colombo. Toss at 10am, first ball at half past".
So that's 40 minutes from now.

From Cricinfo: Ricky Ponting is back, but will slip down to No. 4 in the order. Michael Clarke will follow at 5, and Michael Hussey at 6

Lankans win the toss and bowl and drop Sammy.
Fuse to get less than 10.

No 6 seems a long way down the order for our form batsman.

The Dill has also demoted himself to no. 5.
Fark, with the Piranha at one end, the new opener better have some shots.

Now if he would only get the batting order right starting with himself down to 5.
Oh well. If this doesn't come off I will not be in a position to complain.

Fuse is gash, bowled for a duck. And that my friend is why Fleas should be in the side, or Bog opening with Koaja at 6. FFS and FMD. 1-0.
Hope he does a Deano. Tour SL and then never play for Aus again.

And Bog continues to show that he is both technically and talent-wise, far superior to Fuse.
