Re: Australia v South Africa, 2nd Test, Adelaide, 22-26 November, 2012
Hello Red and taipan
I would ask you both nicely to desist from the continual petty arguing that has been on display recently, particularly in the 1st Test Aus v SAf thread.
While I have my views on who is usually the main instigator of the arguments, I am willing to give the benefit of the doubt at this stage. I will watch carefully, and if it clear that either of you are guilty of stalking, harassing and unnecessarily arguing with the other, then that person will be warned and liable for a suspension. Healthy debate is encouraged but arguing for the sake of arguing is a pointless exercise.
It is clear that your fellow posters have had enough of your ongoing squabble.
I will merge the Alternative thread with this one.
Please take this seriously.
Regards
Fromage

Trev, this forum was founded because of exactly this sort of crap on C4. You personally, Lardy and BG all told her she was talking shit yesterday. If Frommy has a problem with it, it should have been addressed privately by PM as has been done in the past.

Fair enough. I personally don't have a problem with you and Red going at each other. I don't think any of us want either you or her to be suspended.
Fromage, I think I can speak for all forummers when I say that whilst Red and Taipan squabbling with each other has become predictable, I don't think it warrants suspension for either of them. Id only want someone to be suspended if they engage in serious, offensive trolling.

As you know we have had far more serious shit on this forum. I would guess someone has been whining to teacher.

Go ahead and suspend me.
I remind you of one of the main rules of Flaming Bails, as set out by the founder Dello:
Members who persistently adopt a hostile attitude, who bait and badger other posters in an attempt to elicit a similarly negative response will be deemed to be stepping over the line of reasonable behaviour.
As mentioned, healthy debate is to be encouraged. I offered to give the benefit of the doubt, but if you chose to admit your own culpability then benefit of the doubt is not necessary.
If you also chose to adopt a scornful attitude towards a polite request, then I will have no hesitation in following through on the warned action.
Regards
Fromage

Nah, no need for bans. I think the main knickers-twisting has been because someone special wasn't in the middle of it all.

I would point out that our founder Dello has never resorted to this type of action. I stand by by my earlier comment that this should have been handled off board.

I am not Dello. I think you will acknowledge that I have very much adopted a silent and "hands off" approach to moderation.
However, there has been enough indication in recent days that posters have become tired of the ongoing Red v taipan petulance.
I have asked you nicely. If you wished this to be handled off the main board, perhaps you should have reconsidered your "Go ahead and suspend me" remark.
Regards
Fromage.
Re: Australia v South Africa, 2nd Test, Adelaide, 22-26 November, 2012
Fromage - we don't have enough members to be suspending key contributors. IMO of course. It's basically just handbags; yes it's tiresome, but it's not offensive.

I'd agree with lardy. Yeah, that's how much of an original opinion I have.
Also, is this going to be a Fromage v Taipan v Red bout now?

Well, it would seem the ball is in our SAffer mate's court. If he thumbs his nose at Frommie, I wonder what will happen??
I'd put 'em both on Ignore, but the Test thread would have been full of:
“This post was made by some gerbil who is currently on your ignore list. Display this post.”
