I am not Dello. I think you will acknowledge that I have very much adopted a silent and "hands off" approach to moderation.
However, there has been enough indication in recent days that posters have become tired of the ongoing Red v taipan petulance.
I have asked you nicely. If you wished this to be handled off the main board, perhaps you should have reconsidered your "Go ahead and suspend me" remark.
Regards
Fromage.
It is no secret that Red has been attacking SA since her appearance on this board. If she continues to make the snide comments I will respond. If you are serious about stopping the crap I would suggest you cure the source and not the symptoms.

I'm not much bothered by red/ taipan snarlfest. I also don't think that forummers telling them both to cease and desist warrants an intervention by le cheese. It isn't that serious, unless someone has chosen to take it up a notch by complaining to the authorities.
Having stated my position I'd also like to get the knife in by warmly congratulating Red on being a national asset for Australia and its cricketing community, and, Red, having had the pleasure of your limpid commentary during the India -Aus go around, Red, dear Red, I wish you'd shut the f*ck up sometimes.

Fromage wrote:Hello Red and taipan
I would ask you both nicely to desist from the continual petty arguing that has been on display recently, particularly in the 1st Test Aus v SAf thread.
While I have my views on who is usually the main instigator of the arguments, I am willing to give the benefit of the doubt at this stage. I will watch carefully, and if it clear that either of you are guilty of stalking, harassing and unnecessarily arguing with the other, then that person will be warned and liable for a suspension. Healthy debate is encouraged but arguing for the sake of arguing is a pointless exercise.
It is clear that your fellow posters have had enough of your ongoing squabble.
I will merge the Alternative thread with this one.
Please take this seriously.
Regards
Fromage
I take this on board Fromage but with respect while people don't agree with me I don't set out to attack posters. I, however, pointed out to Taipan a few days ago that he snipes at nearly everything I write. If he thinks it's pure excrement he should refrain from this.

Well, I think taips dobbed himself in on this point, Red.
I for one hope you continue to give your views. Perhaps taips can also give his views, just not always having to have a post from you as the catalyst for his pithy remarks.
I'm with the others that have said we don't want to lose a couple of fairly prolific posters. Let's hope some commonsense prevails.

Agree, I have never complained about Taipan's baiting but it can be embarrassing and unedifying when you guys just want to focus on the thrust of the thread.

Red, 95% of your posts have been direct arracks on SA. Some of the comments about Graeme Smith were libelous. When a relatively new poster like BG sees straight through you it becomes very obvious to everyone.
Unfortunately it has become totally impossible to have a serious conversation about cricket here when every post gets one of your one eyed posts in return.

Is Taips trying to get himself banned because he secretly thinks Safs are going to lose the series now.
Sort of a forced preemptive flounce.

Well, if you're going to get banned anyway you might as well make it worthwhile by posting pics of topless South African bikini models.

Well well well. Welly welly welly. Wellity wellity wellity... I thought I was the forum hardman? Turns out Fromage is the bonafide hardman... threatening bans.
Seen it all now. Seen it all.
OK, to be honest, I've been so FUBAR delirious over the last few days, I haven't seen any of the poncefest betwixt Nidge and the Red one, but surely it hasn't warranted some French hardman waddling in threatening a smackdown?

Aye, some heavy duty old influenza. Sleep has mainly consisted of three hour bouts of tripping balls followed by an agonising wake-up of severe aching all over. It's meant I've been up to watch a decent proportion of the cricket, but the memories are mixed in amongst some feverish drivel. I couldn't even pick up the PC to post on here at the top batting that has gone on or the disappointment of the continuous decent state of the pitch.

Daniel, you really must post more when you're sicker than a sick dog. You might approach vilkrangian surrealism.

Yes, I do. He nearly got there then.
Vilks von Loon still shades him in that department IMO.

Aye, bad times. I could barely focus on the TV, let alone type. It's a different sort of delerium... more oppressive in the outcome. I thought about trying to soldier on, but basically I was some sort of Lovecraftian supercargo frequenting some part of the broad Pacific, espying some Polyphemus-like, loathsome and stupendous monster, so grotesque that even the likes of Gustave Dore wouldn't have attempted sculpting it. I was trying my hardest not to get dragged down to the marine grotto.

Talk on the wireless this morning is that Clarke reckons talk of flicking Milf for Koo is off the mark.

But that's exactly what will happen if Starc takes a bag today for NSW. Aussie selection is like Federal Politics- Everyone has the full support right up until the moment they are dumped.

I'm predicting no change for Adelaide unless Watto is fit.
