No one seems to be very interested in Worcester players. Unproven I suppose. Relegation for the club is fine (expected, really), shame for the younger players though, it's clearly better for them to be in D1. Some of them are not bad.

Re: English Domestic Season 2015
Joe Clarke looks like an England player to me,and Tom Fell may not be far behind. Charlie Morris hasn't been spectacular but he's worth keeping an eye on. Mid 80's mph.
We punch above our weight, given the club's resources. To be honest, every season in Div 1 is a bonus as far as I'm concerned.

Wholeheartedly agree.
Re: English Domestic Season 2015
I've only just noticed that Luke Wright is the second highest run scorer in the CC this year with a nearly 50 average. How on Earth did that happen?

He stopped bowling. And found God.

Off a leading edge. He was aiming for cow corner.

Turns out county runs don't mean a thing. Jonny Bairstow scores a hundred every week but still doesn't look like he could keep out Geoffrey Boycott's grandma if she came in off her long run.
Meanwhile, little Jimmy Taylor has only scored four hundreds in the last four years, but seems able to cope all right with Pat Cummins and Mitchell Starc winging it down at 90mph.

His biggest weakness is being hit on the top of the helmet and being given out LBW.

I've grown (no pun intended) to like Taylor. Has a bit of the cocky french-connection-u.k.-er about him, like Root. But in a good way. You know, focused, not braying.

Plenty to like about LJT - always has been. Wouldn't mind seeing him in any of our sides. Keeps a pretender out of the team

Re: English Domestic Season 2015
So, no changes to the domestic structure before 2017. To put it plainly, the counties have told Andrew Strauss, Colin Graves and Tom Harrison to go **** themselves and the horse they rode in on.
I quite like Sussex's idea of playing some Royal London games overseas, pre-season to free up some space.

Re: English Domestic Season 2015
The Hampshire V Yorkshire game looks a trifle contrived to me.
Yorks "declaring" their 1st innings on 97 - 4, Hants forfeiting their 2nd innings and setting the Tykes
an impossible 300 to get in 90 overs on a dodgy wicket with a slow outfield.
It's not as if Yorkshire can win, or indeed need the points ... more like Hampshire dodging a relegation battle.
Basically the Tykes doing Hants a huge favour!
Worcester and Zommerzet might have just cause for complaint.

We've lost 10 games out of 15. We're hardly in a position to complain about being relegated.

Re: English Domestic Season 2015
So, what do people think of those two Setheffrikan-Pom Irish-Zimbabwean bros?
The younger one looks about 12.
He is actually still a schoolboy, isn't he?
They look okay prospects, though (obviously) raw (in one case especially).

Their speeds are well down compared with the semi-final.
Good to see Batty letting his inner twat out for a breath of fresh air!

I've seen some pulsating cup-finals in my time, and this isn't one of them.
