Re: English Domestic Season 2015
Well, that was some turn around. Bit like that 96 WC semi final, Surrey never looked like losing it till they did.

Fuller looks a bit good and he's now qualified for England to boot.

Re: English Domestic Season 2015
Surprisingly, there was no DRS yesterday, which is a pity as Rob Bailey had an absolute stinker with two of the worst LBW decisions you will ever see.

What other sport allows the climax of its premier competition to be tucked away in midweek? Take a bow ECB, you bunch of self-serving halfwits.
And these are the very same arseholes who would drive a coach and four through the domestic schedule.

Man... gotta be pleased for Gloucs. Good stuff it was, though I focked it before the collapse. Their attack looks useful. Plus they had to fight against Rob Bailey who had a stinker. Maybe his eyes are going.
Re: English Domestic Season 2015
Just the 71 FC wickets this season, and counting, for Mark Footitt.
Didn't make any of the England touring parties, did he? Not Woakesy enough.

72 wickets. But who's counting? Not the ECB chairman of selectors. That's now 198 wickets at 23.64 in the last three seasons. Terrible. Unselectable, I'd say. Not quntish at all.
Re: English Domestic Season 2015
I could understand them not taking an interest if he was some Jon Lewis 73mph dobber who couldn't possibly take wickets on proper tracks against proper batsmen, but Footitt's got some wheels, a bit of bounce - and he's all left-handed and shit, which is de rigueur these days.
Whatevs, as the kids probably say. Because they're pricks.

Re: English Domestic Season 2015
Exactly... to come so close to first team selection, then not even tour anywhere makes no sense whatsoever - especially as he 'impressed in the nets' which, as we know, is akin to feeding the 5,000 whilst spinning plates....
What's his family like?
I imagine something like a Nottinghamshire Rab C. Nesbitt, with less kiddy fiddlers. Or the same amount. Who knows.
Either way, I'm blaming his family because, in terms of cricketing sense, there is none.

Late September is too late, too.
They should get the season climaxed by the end of August, kick out the 20T rhabbish and replace it with an innovative innovation "Waterbat" for the three weeks of September.
Big plastic bat, waterproofed toughened cardboard ball and stumps, and non-slip concrete ground.

Must have done - finished with 7/71 - nobody else can beat 1/45 ATM.

Hopefully he'll be back then.
Piled on the runs now there's no pressure too...

Re: English Domestic Season 2015
At the risk of high woofery, Hants looking like they might just escape with their division one status intact. 144 to win, 10 wickets in hand.
Still need the Yorkies to beat Sussex, though. I think. I don't know - I haven't done the math. Maths. Whatever.

10 for Footitt. 2nd highest wicket taker this season. Over 200 now, in the last three seasons. Not England material.
Re: English Domestic Season 2015
Looks like Dello's chancers might have jumped the trapdoor.
The ghosts of Arlott, Phil Mead and George Brown, of Teddy Wynyard and CB Fry (yes, I know he started at Sussex), the ghosts of Robin and Chris Smith, Baz Richards and Malcolm Marshall, Col Ingleby-Mackenzie, "Dick" Shackleton, Bob Cottam and Kevan James - and the phantom of the mighty Mark Nicholas - may all rest easy again. They are not Lancs in disguise after all, perhaps.
Despite the best efforts of James Vince, season's average of under 30 and still tumbling.
Poor young Gatting, already voted whipping boy for the others' failures over the season. Will he be reinstated if the Tykes duly administer to Fry's first county the coup de grĂ¢ce?
PS: Good to see that underrated opener Chris Jordan got Hampshire over the line.
