Current overrated XI

I agree. I think he's way too much like BCL than any of the others mentioned, wherein he likes to play his shots and doesn't really want to stay at the crease without entertaining. Until recently anyway, when he realised that if he didn't hang around, no-one would.

No one who saw KP in his first 18 months of international cricket would say he is overrated. The last 6 months haven't been great for him, however. I just hope he quickly realises that being a defensive bore just isn't him at all.

Not really irony at all, actually. Unless you're suggesting that most of my posts are defensive, and that i'm not really a bore at all.

I know it's very late in the 'piece', but i'd like to mention Danish Kaneria as well. Actually, he's probably the most overrated cricketer in the world right now. I can't believe I forgot him. Take away Bangladesh and Zimbabwe, and his bowling average is about 42, and yet he seems to get called,"Pakistan's key weapon" before every test series they play.

Pakistan need to get Mushy and/or Saqlain in their side.

Asif, Gul, Mushy/Saqlain would be a brilliant attack.

Isn't it official ICC policy now?

England actually have a spinner who is better than Saqlain (Monty) so I don't think we'll be rushing to include him in our test side anytime soon. He's one of the all time great ODI bowlers however, but I think England have unofficially decided that they wont select players who have already played international cricket for another country.
