8. Vettori- You'd think he was up there with Warne. Averages 34 in tests.....
9. Broad- Ok he's young, but hasn't really done much to justify the hype...yet
10. Johnson- Can't swing the ball into the right handers, and pretty wayward
11. Southee- NZ'ers are crossing their fingers with him...Might just be shit.

perhaps you have a point...Henry Nolonga wrote:Steyn is overrated by PlanetPakistan.
but i don't think you will disagree that currently he is the ONLY fast bowler in the world that is even CLOSE to being tagged as a great.

Well Steyn has the opportunity to perform against us downunder this summer. His last visit to our shores was inglorious so if we compare form in Australia to date Sharma is ahead.
What are stats anyway? We all know Smith deserves to be overrated yet on reflection his aren't too bad - averaging nearly 49 as an opener at a strikerate of 61 while captaining his side. Yet the purists know he's no great shakes.
Sharks over Steyn. One of the great predictions

I didn't know there was ever a time when Jamie How was rated in any capacity.
Smith, Bell and Clarke have turned out well. The rest seems fairly prescient.

That doesn't ring true.
His name was lauded to the skies on this very forum, for his potential for cat lovers (named Jay).

Was it the time his trousers fell off in the field?
Did that even happen, or have I made it up?

I'd take a pace attack of Johnson, Broad and Southee against most non-SA alternatives right now...Dello wrote:I didn't know there was ever a time when Jamie How was rated in any capacity.

Nobody mentioned in this thread so far can possibly be as overrated as the word 'overrated'.
