.Um, I don't think it's even that.
Well you can check cricinfo for that.

Meanwhile I wonder why things are getting so muddled up at the second level and why are we dropping Pujara from the XI?

So?
It is between "A" sides. It cannot, by definition, be an "unofficial" test, let alone an official test.

It doesn't mean whatever you think would be last truth in the world. If the teams and their management as well as board decided to call it that way, your objection won't mean anything.
So can we stay on the topic? Do you have to say anything about it?

Even for you, that last comment is unbelievable.
Do you honestly not know what a test is?

Doesn't matter Taipan. You can keep that dictionary for yourself. Cricinfo is saying it, and so are numerous newspapers.
Meanwhile Sree has been injured yet again. Who'll replace him in BP XI. Will that be someone from India A?

Why are you acting like a troll Taipan? I thought you had become better from the C4 days. You don't believe what I write? Don't do so. You don't believe what cricinfo writes? Don't do so!Am I forcing you? But if you don't write one response to the thread topic, then I'll stop replying to you.

I just cannot decide what the second tier of Indian seamers can be:
Pathan
Tyagi
....and?

Pathan?
Forget it, Chandan. He has completely lost it, I think.

So you think he is not good even for A team?
If so then who do you choose for the A seam attack?

Re: India A vs Australia A in India
India A hit back yesterday to wrap up NZ 16 runs before they could equal India's score.
Parmar took 3. Mishra took 2, Tyagi 2 and Dinda 2 as well.
But India lost Dhawan batting in the 2nd inning, cheaply.

With Pathan in BP XI all Australian bats would get a good chance to get back in form.

Looks like it. And Yuvraj won't trouble the bowlers at all.

Can't believe it Goel. Chennai pitch never flattens out if it isn't flat since the beginning. It keeps getting trickier instead as the days pass.

Days 2 and 3 are still the best days to bat in Chennai.

Nah. This seemed different since a spinner took 6 wickets on Day one.

Day 2 and 3 were not that good for batting in that test. It was a low scoring one( no inning over 400) compared to other matches at Chennai.

Re: India A vs Australia A in India
There was no flattening of pitch as we see that Indian bowlers wrapped the Kiwi inning just for 225 runs. Dinda, of all the bowlers, claimed 5 wickets, Mishra took good 3 top order wickets while Parmar claimed 2.
Tyagi went wicketless for the first time.
So India wins the 1st unofficial test by 129 runs!

India A v New Zealand A, 1st Test, Chennai, 4th day
Dinda takes five in India A's 129-run win
Cricinfo staff
October 1, 2008
India A 248 (Vijay 45, Pathan 44, McCullum 6-90) and 336 (Raina 146, Arnel 4-38 ) beat New Zealand A 330 (Redmond 51, Marshall 51, Parmar 3-57) and 225 (Marshall 47, Dinda 5-60) by 129 runs
Scorecard
Ashok Dinda (left) took 5 for 60 to sink New Zealand A to 225 Cricinfo Ltd
Ashok Dinda's five-wicket haul wrecked New Zealand A's middle order and helped India A take a 1-0 lead in the two-match series. Amit Mishra, the legspinner, celebrated his call-up to the Indian Test squad with three wickets to support Dinda's effort as India A wrapped up a 129-run win.
Resuming on 41 for 1, the overnight pair of Aaron Redmond and Peter Fulton took the score to 90 before Mishra struck twice in the same over. Both were dismissed in their 30s and New Zealand needed at least one solid partnership to entertain thoughts of saving the game. Greg Hay and James Marshall began the repair work and they resisted for another 20 overs. It was only in the 49th over of the innings when the wheels came apart for New Zealand.
Dinda was on a hat-trick after he removed Hay and Neil Broom, and New Zealand had lost half their side for 148. Dinda dismissed Nathan McCullum soon after for 3 and the tail couldn't give enough support to Reece Young, who remained unbeaten on 39. Dinda took the last two wickets to finish with 5 for 60, his third five-wicket haul in first-class cricket.
India also had their captain, Suresh Raina, to thank for setting up the win. His blazing 146 on the third day helped push the target past 300. The second and final match of the tour begins on Friday at the same venue.
