Harsh.
But funny.

How many catches have been dropped off Tredwell's bowling? Clearly there's some kind of conspiracy...

Predictably, Bangles lose a wicket with a couple of overs left in the day.
Now 6 down and well and truly rooted.

I think the Bangers should bat until lunch & then declare. England would be under enormous pressure in the run chase & I doubt if they can handle it.

He's pretty much bobbins, you've got to admit. I'm sure he's enjoyed his only test cap

He hasn't been too bad, the dropped catches haven't helped his figures. Probably not test standard though.

'England on course' says the BBC banner. Probably so but this is such a flat wicket you could see the last 4 wickets being a pain in the arse to winkle out.

Well at least the Bangles are developing the persecution complex of top sub-continental test side. Patronisng them was getting boring.
Not that I've seen much of it but I'm guessing Tredwell is about 63% of a Graeme Swann which puts him on the same level with Shaun Udal and about 4% below Peter Such, 5% below Robert Croft and 40% above Richard Dawson.
Not that bad really- except I have just said on the same level as Shaun Udal so yes he should be put down right now like an elderly dog with dementia.

Oy, he's skipper of Middlesex!
....and doesn't that say everything you need to know about the Fraser-Emburey regime.

Unfortunately Tredders is someone Flower will probably like. Team man, quite a strong character, decent bat.
Anyone who averages 36 in their FC career is a bit of a county trundler to be honest.

still can't see Bresnan setting the world on fire against the better teams. I reckon he'll be fodder in Australia. His batting is pretty useful, mind.
Meanwhile Broad's batting has fallen off the chart. Came in below Swann and Bresnan in the first innings, and has barely made a run since the ashes. And wasn't I being ridiculed about 6 months ago for saying that Swanny is a better batsman than Broad?

Bangas 173 up, 3 wickets in hand, 72 overs (less 2 for change of innings when it comes) left in the day.
What's the optimum point for them to try and jag a win?
I'd be thinking around 250 up with maybe 45 overs to get them, meaning they need to get another 77 runs in 25 overs.

Runs on the board on the 5th day . . . Englnad might be real shakey chasing 220+ off 50 overs

Is Shakib the best allrounder in test cricket today? A lazy 66 overs and now 77*.

Poor Bangles - lose a wicket in the last over before lunch.
198 ahead with 1 wicket left and 2 sessions so England are in the box seat.

Foxx must be the Banger version of Michael Holding.
.
Foxx has found a calculator to produce this little stat - "KP LWB at 30, scored 45, = 15 Prior LBW at 9, scored 62, = 53 Bell LBW at 82, scored 138, = 56 Bresnan Caught on 5, scored 91 = 86 That amounts to 210. 496-210 = Eng 286/10. 419-286= Bng lead +133.Bangladesh could have declared long ago.."

Shakib stumped for 96 trying to reach his century with a wild shot. A lead of 208 should prove too much for England.
Here come the Bangers!

Even if England go on to win this, the Bangles have done themselves proud in this test.
