Manly thrash the Doggies. As much as I hate to say it, they are playing pretty freaking well at the moment.

4.5 out of 7 for the Chief so far but she's picked up a point on the leader and is only 4 behind (but still in 4th). She wasn't happy with "stoopid Titans and stoopid Warriors" (her words).

I almost put a big bet on the Eels with the start too. Damn work IT nazis blocking Centrebet.
I thought you were working on a plan to use an iPad/iPhone to get around this?
I bought an ipad2 the other week. I haven't left the basement since. There are two distinct periods in my life. Life before Apple, and life after Apple.

My order is in for an iPad2. The payroll people at work have finally acknowledged that for people in my line of work, the iPad might be handy, and so it's been added to the salary sacrifice program. Meaning I will pick up the 64GB+3G version for about the price of the 16GB WiFi only version. Happiness will abound.

It will bring hours of entertainment. I can't wait to forum from the lounge as I watch a decent game of test cricket.
And now that I am hooked on the Apple drug. I finally know what it is to feel like Tac and spend my entire existence in the basement. And I get a chance to live in the shoes of deniers like Skully. I am using so much energy consumption I am beginning to think along the lines of fark the planet and fark the grand kids here for a good time not a long time

I am hanging for the extra screen real estate the iPad will bring. I have been foruming via my iPhone since finally making the leap from Nokia to something a little more modern, and love it except for the size of the keys of the on screen keyboard and the interesting offerings it makes in terms of spelling corrections when I make what it thinks is a mistake. I assume said offerings are made due to the size of the keys.

The Dragons have Matt Prior & David Gower in their team. It's like watching a pommie cricket team.

Re: Rugby Leeeeeg 2011
Drags showed the effects of the loss of 8 players. No combination in defence or attack. Scott Prince and Preston Campbell got a sniff and on the back of a good start with a pretty damn good try in the corner inch of the in-goal area by theTitans winger, Gold Coast had the confidence to go on with it.
Drags will only be a point in front if the Coastal Filth beat the understrength Cows this weekend.

Re: Rugby Leeeeeg 2011
And yet, despite the 'spectacle' of three rounds of five sub-standard games each year, plus the added risk of injury to the best players due to having to back up for club football after rep games, you can bet the NRL will still lube up and bend over* to continue the situation under the next rights deal. Because Ray Hadley and his cronies, along with the c0cksuckers at Nein will campaign vociferously against it, saying 'the fans want club footy every weekend' despite repeated surveys showing that fans want stand-alone weekends for rep games.skully wrote:Drags showed the effects of the loss of 8 players.
* They're possibly worse at doing this than the ICC is with the BCCI.

Here's a plan. Scrap the pre-season comp. Start the regular comp three weeks earlier. Play the SOO over three weeks in a row leaving four weekends free to conduct a mid season comp. Seed the teams into four groups. Round Robin over three weekends with the top four seeded finishers playing a two semis and a final over the last weekend with the rest to play a sevens comp. Free up the war chest and make sure there's a shedload of prizemoney. If you play double headers at selected venues you could turn it into a real carnival with a chance you could actually make everyone happy. Fans, broadcasters and players.

That kind of thinking would never appeal to the administrators. It makes too much sense and might make the fans happy.
