I too have always felt an 'emotionless, pretentious thunderqunt' vibe from her. I would however let my standards slip with a leftover barbecued sausage...
Strange way to get your Jolies.

Annpying?Henry wrote:Fark me, that Azarenka girl is f*cking annpying with her three second long grunts after every shot. Glad she's out.
And women's tennis is full of that sh!t, a great reason not to watch it. If I want women screaming and grunting with effort on my TV I'll watch porn.

Again, my point about porn stands true.Henry wrote:All the female players are chokers. It's basically a competition to see who can choke the least.

Not sure how Tsonga lost that first set.

2 things.
Djokovic is a truly brilliant player. Absolutely extraordinary.
And Tsonga? He could actually turn me. Turn me like a gay ostrich.

Murray does better than his two previous Wimbledons against Nadal and wins a set.

Looks like the standard crapitulation from here though. A couple of big unforced errors and Nadal now in control.
Seems like Brits will be 0-7 in Wimbledon semis in the modern era.

Brits?
If he's losing, he's back to being Scotch, thank you very much.

Re: The Wimbledon Thread - anyone for tennis?
Ok, Scots and posh Oxfordshire types will be 0-7 in Wimbledon semis!
Nadal just too good once he gets going though. If he plays like this he will have too much for Djokovic as well, world number 1 or not. Could end with 20 Slams if he stays fit for most of the next 5 years or so.

How can anyone be arsed to play the game of tennis? Murray hasn't quite lost, but look at the effort he's got to go to to win. I wouldn't be farked, like.

In that case, you won't wonder at the pharmaceutical side of the Tour de France!

Re: The Wimbledon Thread - anyone for tennis?
well if you're rubbish, why would you do the Tour de France? Don't people just drop out if they get so far behind? But Murray's not rubbish, and he was ahead, but by the time you're serving to stay in the match at 40-15 down, where your opponent just needs one shot to win and you need to win this game, then the set, then the next set. Unreal.

I wasn't saying anyone taking on the TdF is rubbish. Just that, looking up that mountain (those mountains) of a marathon, why would you take it on without help?

Re: The Wimbledon Thread - anyone for tennis?
One of the major features of sports like tennis is that there's no running down the clock, you have to close it out which takes some nerve to do. Players win from 2 sets down, 2 sets and a break, multiple match points. It does happen, just more unlikely against Nadal than anyone else, perhaps ever.Yorkie Jill wrote:well if you're rubbish, why would you do the Tour de France? I wondered why LLL never posted on the cricket any more. I thought he may have become a homosexual. But turns out its much more embarrassing than that, he's become a tennis fan. There's no way back from here.
You'll wake up in the night panting "Come on Tim", and getting misty-eyed for those days when that nice young Cliff Richards used to sing such nice songs. You won't be able to walk past a fruit display without picking up 3 apples, putting one in your pocket, throwing one on the floor and walking off with the other.

And given the number of times he has to call for the trainer at critical junctures, the herd will say his success is even more remarkable.beamer wrote:Ok, Scots and posh Oxfordshire types will be 0-7 in Wimbledon semis!

I think I'll stick to thinking he's a very good player, but a qunt who rorts the system when he needs to.

He's not a tennis fan. He just thinks he's Spanish. Supported Barcelona "all his life" and can't help but follow "local boy made good" Nadal.
Probably loves nothing more than tapas and blacking up.
Re: The Wimbledon Thread - anyone for tennis?
I like tennis. It's my fourth sport after football, cricket and women's volleyball.
