Re: The Football Thread - 2011/12
I would think taking a shower would be more of a concern for him than the England job if he's found guilty...Merlin wrote:
Think if he's rapped on this charge, he's done for where the England managers job is concerned.
Or is he not facing jail time if guilty? I know they farked Capone on tax evasion, but that was America, and I suppose for all his faults, Harry probably isn't a mass murderer/gangster.

He might not be a mass murderer in the strictest sense of the word, but he's with Spurs, a club that regularly murder title shots, Euro qualification, and important matches...

Noice...
He'd probably be OK inside, the only people he'd have to worry about would be Arse fans.

Howard Webb = Absolute grub
Bet he received a huge sling from the Manure camp after those penalty decisions.
Grub.

Aye, W. You can guarantee when a goal is needed, a dodgy penalty will be flung the Scum's way.

To be fair, Gary Cahill could have gotten a red or at least conceded a penalty ten minutes into the match. Doesn't make Webb a good referee and also doesn't change the dodgy penalty scenario.

HTF do the Scum get away wih it??
Newspapers today all raving about "Rooneys brace sink Chelsea" ... fark me, all he did was slot in 2 penalties FFS.
Always, always been suspicious of Webb and his "decisions" ... dodgy bastard.
Evra should've had 2 yellows ... = a red during the match.
PS - Go the Arse ... go RVP ... farewell King Thiery.

Aside from the challenge being outside the box and in no way interpretable (even in Howard Webb's Man United tinted brain) as a clear goalscoring opportunity.
The Ashley Young one was a dive. Because that's all he does: gets into the box and hits the deck. But he's English, so no-one ever pulls him up on it.
The penalty given against Ivanovic was a scandal.
That said, Chelsea were an absolute shambles. I don't know how much they paid to get Villas Boas, but I hope they kept the receipt. I've rarely seen such a disorganised, shapeless, plodding excuse for a team, completely oblivious - or indifferent - to the concept of closing the game out at 3-0. The midfield trio of Meireles (appalling in possession), Malouda (absolute pansy - doesn't fancy anything) and Essien (physically shot to pieces after three serious knee injuries in four years) just disappeared in the second half. No-one tracked back. No-one made tackles. Nothing.
The most expensively assembled shower in history.

Does Liverpool have more 0-0 than anyone in the history of dire home performances?

Re: The Football Thread - 2011/12
They've f*cked it this year, they've the most draws this season or some shite. They've got the shittest chance conversion rate in the entire division. If Kenny wasn't there, they'd be 'no news'.
Re: The Football Thread - 2011/12
Bunch of hoofers, L'pool.
Take Suarez out of the equation, and they don't have a single technical player.
"Erm, what about Gerrard?" Headless chicken. Couldn't unlock a defence with a pass if he had a key, a map and everyone was drugged.
"Charlie Adam?" Just pings the ball 40 yards diagonally all day. Whoo. What's the point when your team doesn't have any wingers? He's like a budget Michael Carrick.
"Stewart Downing?" Go f*ck yourself.

Headless chicken running around chasing shadows 'bout sums him up.

Carroll? How is it even possible for a young person to move so slowly - let alone a professional athlete.
He's basically a hairy lump. That's what £35 million buys you: a bloke off the streets.
