Re: Euro 2012 Thread
A few sublime bits amongst a lot of ordinary stuff tbh.
However, at least they look a spirited side. Not that its enough to challenge at tournaments.

Aye, not going to win anyt tournaments but at least we've won a match and should go through, although that isn't a certainty.
Gerrard's cross for Carrol's goal was absolutely immense though, best cross of the tournament so far.

Re: Euro 2012 Thread
We've got bouncebackability, that's for sure! Look some way short of the best teams in the competition but this should at least give the players the confidence to go and get something against Ukraine to progress. A few moments of quality in the goals as well, and of course there's a certain player called Rooney to come back in...

I've only seen the goals but it seemed an excellent comeback from Engulund. Some good goals in the game.
Crikey, nasty storm in the froggy Ukraine game. The French look pretty slick.

Since when can we not defend the far post? Oh well, good times. 8 pints of scrumpy helped it along and I now feel like Satan has raped my face with his fiery cock.

Well, I really cannot remember... the match is actually stark clear in my head... how much of a twat I was is so incredibly fuzzy that it's like it didn't even happen.
At least I'll always have the feeling of Walcott's goal lifting deep despair from my soul. Thank you Theo.

Re: Euro 2012 Thread
Aye, England now have a selectorial problem IMO. He's stuck his hand up and Roy may now have to change to a classic 4-4-2. To include Rooney, too, would mean dropping one of the goalscorers. It's nice to have some pacy substitutes.
Re: Euro 2012 Thread
My response is simple. "C'mon Engulund". Joe Hart - the New Wall.

Well, we've barely had one worthy of the name since Seaman was at his peak.taipan wrote:Best English keeper for some time.
Just hope he doesn't get injured or sent off, as there's fark all in reserve. Especially as two of the more competent backups don't want to travel round sitting on the bench. Our third choice is a 19-year-old who has never played first team football above League Two (fourth tier) level and second is Robert Green, enough said!

No spring. That's his major weakness. Can't get off the ground. Weak on crosses and high, long range strikes.
He's a thinner Paul Robinson.

Greek hanging on in the tournament like they are hanging onto the Euro zone. Just.
