Aus A all out for 204, losing by only 19 runs. That is a top effort against this outstanding county team. The future looks very bright for Australian cricket.

Is there anyone in Australia under the age of 30 who knows how to hold a bat?

You can have Trev if you want. He must be eligible by now.
In other news, Derbyshire doing their best to lose to Kent and throw away promotion. We've got a really tough run in if memory serves so this isn't promising.

Despite excellent List A and T20 form, Phil Hughes is only averaging 30 in the CC.

How? Bowlers and fielders get a break and make a plan. The number 10 has to concentrate and get his 'eye in' again. Our 11 is a bunny so 1 wicket and it's over.

Rankin to play for England.
Heard Ray Jennings son will play for Durham, doesn't stop them counties from buying saffies/aussies.

Unless his coach, Piles, greases the wheels for him, I don't see how Rankin has a chance of playing for England. There must be around ten seamers ahead of him in the pecking order, at least.

WTF is going on in Birmingham? A pitch so bad only Phil Hughes and Slogdonki can score runs?

Rashid, back in the team and back in the wickets. Five-for for the championship side last time out, 4-38 tonight.
Kick up the arse been a wake up call?
Aussie A lose 7-80 to the spin twins Kerrigan and Tredwell as England Lions take charge of the first "Test".
70 for Root and 73* for Johnny B (presumably Australia bowled no short balls at him) to take the lead to around 200 with seven wickets in hand.
